About ezeep

ezeep is a cloud print management platform that is suitable for organizations of all sizes with shared printer facilities, such as shared workspaces, educational institutions and small-to-midsize companies. The key features of the solution include centralized print management, multi-device printing and a cloud-based management portal.

Additionally, ezeep offers Direct IP printing, guest printing, bring your own device (BYOD) support, mobile printing and a Google Chrome printing extension to meet all of the organization's and users' printing needs. It provides a pull printing feature that protects confidential documents by only printing when the job is released at the printer by the authorized user. The solution also includes customizable print rules allowing administrators to control printer usage, default settings and devices and automate policy enforcement.

ezeep offers a visual dashboard displaying overall printer usage and print volume for organizations to identify teams or departments with high print volumes and possible printer fleet optimizations, as well as printer status monitoring and downtime alerts. Ezeep cloud printing and alternative to Google cloud printing.....

It is a good and responsive company and they have a really nice solution. Not yet there but they develop fast.

Pros:

The reason we looked at Ezeep is because Google stops with Cloud printing. We had to find something else. Using Ezeep's print API we did that in a few days (really easy). Than we build an app for Integromat (also easy). The app is still private (we might publish it). That did solve 90% of the google cloud printing we use. Can it replace Google's cloud printing: no, not fully (yet).

Cons:

It prints A4...... yes A4 only (any other format depends on the printer). It does NOT support label printers. It is hit and run. Label printers: a BIG thing for us (who does not have a label printer) ! It uses the LOCAL print driver settings for printing (example: if you have heavy paper loaded you need to change the settings on your printer to plain otherwise it will not print). This concept avoids having to support all the printers in the world (they always covert every file to a pdf before printing). But it has it's downsides. We would like to be able to tell the printer: tray, papersize, papertype, copies, etc .....as a minimum the same parameters Google Cloud printing uses. Some printers support printing tickets. Ezeep supports that and uses these. If you printer supports it, it will react on the ticket data. Operational management and monitoring (manage local print connectors, etc....) not really part of the product yet.

Reasons for choosing ezeep

We also use Nicelabel (they support every printer in the world in detail). They do have a cloud solution with API as well. But way more expensive and more complex. If we go that route (for label printers) it will cost a lot more to developed and operate.

Reasons for switching to ezeep

Claiming to be a Google Cloud Printing alternative means cover it 100%+. It does not do that yet. But it is a very cost effective, easy to setup and user friendly product. Absolutely recommended. They just need to add some features and start supporting label printers.
