Pros:

At first, we used it to make responsive prototypes, but we realized that it could be used for many other things, including sales demos, landing pages, and more. The software is easy to use, helps us get things done faster, and most importantly it doesn't require engineers to be involved!

Cons:

It doesn't generate perfect code, but it does save us a lot of time in development

Great tool for prototyping frontend apps

Experience with Anima was mind-blowing, we have reconsidered our approach to prototyping. We have developed new business opportunities with limited cost thanks to this product. We believe more and more coding languages support are to be expected. This is the kind of tool we wish to have internally and possibly choose to customize with machine learning model or even simply a specific framework snippets. Unfortunately even with all the new possibilities offered by Anima, we have experienced resistance to the change. So maybe we didn't communicate well enough to the team how Anima can provide solid time saving value added proposition to our frontend development workflow. We believe this kind of assistive-tech-tool is going to be almost mandatory in the near future.

Pros:

Anima integration with Fygma is a very fluid workflow, even we the free product we knew what to expect. Using the paid product was easy and useful. The UI/UX is good.

Cons:

Regarding the code language available, we've found it was too limited for our use-case, we have decided to switch to React with TypeScript support, which has a notoriously hard liftoff phase. At the end we ran out of time partly because of this. Anima should/could provide a low-code view of the generated code, because sometimes it's too long. We would have hoped for faster conversion of the anima project (only page/feature per page at the moment of testing ) Anima may/should add unit tests to the generated code (we may have missed it though) Anima may/should provide a cloud based IDE for peer coding

Great idea, didn't work

It was horrible you made me look unprofessional qhen im certified as a dev. I cant believe your team is like this and how adobe linked itself to you

The idea.l was greay, imagine using a tool that can take your design to life.

Cons:

The program never worked, it never working and the [sensitive content hidden] was aware of this. I personally told him i lost time investing into his program.

I had no choice this group wasted alot of time and had zero backbone to support their product.

Easy, clear and straight forward. The support help I have received from Shira has been incredible. I like that the code is easy accessible and easily exported.

Cons:

I find plugins sometimes dont work especially on the Figma side. I did get stuck in finding my way around the platform.

Reasons for choosing Anima

It was the only platform that seemed to export code in 3 different languages that appeared straight forward to do so. I had looked at Workflow but Anima worked with Figma and that made sense.

Helping to bring our designs to life...

We've had a lot of fun learning the software and are continuing to try new things and figure out how best to integrate it into our workflow. It's also enabling us to challenge our current workflow too. The support team have been particularly reactive and helpful, which is really appreciated!

The responsive tools are great and the ability to build in certain functions such as text input, interactions, video etc. has helped us bring our designs to life and present them to our clients.

Cons:

The comments feature definitely needs improvement and the software has been prone to crashing for us when syncing updates to projects.

Reasons for switching to Anima

We wanted to try a different tool that enabled our team to take design prototyping to the next level, which Animaapp is helping us to achieve thus far.

We couldn't do without Anima

Honestly I don't think we could have progressed as we have without it. It's been a great journey.

Pros:

I love being able to make a creative, custom responsive website in Sketch... and then, publishing it with a custom domain and boom it's live and it works. With contact forms, embedded media, and interactive components. Our dev uses the code generated from Anima for more complex sites. Makes our whole process smoother and more flexible.

Cons:

I feel like Anima could do more with education on how to use their product, and also have live updates on their site about features that may not work right away after a design software update -- and when they will be ready. Their customer service is great though.

Reasons for choosing Anima

It fills the niche that we are in. We didn't want website builders, or no code platforms that keep you within their walls. We needed the features and flexibility that Anima provides.

You could get your website quickly based on the design. It looks prefect.

Cons:

1. Animation is difficult.2. Layout is the absolute position or fixed.If you are going to use it for a complex website, it could save your time but not too much.

Pros:

Good design tool to make prototype and work on your project. It's great that It allows converting your design from various apps like XD , Figma directly to usable code.

Cons:

Many elements made using this has wrong dimensions in comparison to your display size. And the workspace is quite hectic to use plus it needs to be faster and optimized .

Pros:

Anima is a very powerful pluggin that combined with adobe XD, figma or others will allow designers who don't know how to code to create their own website

Cons:

A bit expensive for my taste and the animations are not always very accurate
