Strong API, Fair Pricing, and Exceptionally Competent Support

Printess has been reliable, efficient, and easy to operate in our daily workflows. The API runs very consistently, integrations are stable, and the support ensures fast and competent resolutions. It provides clear value without unnecessary complexity.

Pros:

Printess offers a strong value for money ratio. The API is clear, well-structured, and easy to integrate into Shopify, Etsy, and Amazon Custom workflows. The customer support stands out in particular: we are not talking to a generic support team, but directly to the the people who build the product, understand every detail, make quick decisions, and usually provide an immediate, practical solution. Features such as SLIM UI and the AI Upscaler have improved our conversion rates and reduced low-resolution issues.

Cons:

If I have to mention something, and this is more for completeness than a real issue, an option to smooth costs with quarterly credit usage could be helpful. Given the fair pricing, it’s not a meaningful drawback.

Reasons for switching to Printess

Flexible, creative and dependable

Got Printess assigned after a company acquisition. I have a background in front-end dev and graphic design. The tool is intuitive if you're used to some simple CSS and software like InDesign. It has a "Lego" touch to it: giving you adaptable blocks where only your time and creativity set the boundaries. No solution is without issues or areas of improvement, and the UX and navigation increases the learning curve and code navigation and form navigation can be a bit tedious even once you know the platform. Despite this, the cons are far greater and the dev+support team are great. Would always recommend!

- Support is responsive and extremely helpful - Devs are engaged to make integrations work, even when it's beyond their side - Flexible and scalable template editor with few limits - Great documentation - Stable - Easy-to-use language features - Various levels of complexity to suit different functions and needs

- Opportunities for improved UX on template side and in order history (account side) - Non-searchable and sometimes confusing input in CSS code editor

Most flexible editor out there

Definitely the most flexible editor out there! It can handle most products and sizes. Built with real print knowledge in the back, which ensures prepress people can set robust rules in the editor so users don't have to worry about the details and focus mainly on the creative parts!

Robust with great ability to automate. No need for SKUs, almost everything can be done via API. Almost every element can be customised to achieve a great user journey.

Cons:

The UI can be a bit more modern. Steep learning curve and the need to be more technical (knowledge of CSS, HTTP requests).

Wettbewerbsfähiges Editor-Paket

Ein super Tool um wettbewerbsfähige Editoren anbieten zu können. Im Vergleich zu anderen B2C Mitbewerbern ein anderes Konzept, da hier das Design bzw. die Gestaltung innerhalb des Editors angelegt wird (1 Produkt). Mitbewerber insb. aus dem Kartenbereich machen das anders und legen für jedes Design andere Produkte an --> was dem Kunden etwas Flexibilität nimmt, aber dafür einen besseren Eindruck von den unterschiedlichen Designmöglichkeiten schafft.

Besonders gut finde ich, dass Printess ein Tool zur Entwicklung von Editoren ist und man anders als bei anderen Anbietern nicht jeden Editor einzeln erstellen (bezahlen) lassen muss. Die Anwendung ist sowohl im Backend als auch für die Kunden intuitiv.

Cons:

Das erstellen von eigenen Designs erfordert sehr viel Aufwand. Es wäre klasse, wenn Printess Make auch für B2C Anwendungen wie bspw. Hochzeiten/ Geburtstage etc. aufgebohrt wird.

Printess is a next generation editor and I have been working with personalization tools since 2005. Their technology is amazing ad game changing. The team is amazing and always ready to support me.

Cons:

That I am not creative enough to take full advantage of their amazing technology. I was able to rebuild personalized books to be better than ever before.
