The Academy alone is worth it, but there's so much more....

The MentorPRO platform really gives back what you put into it, in terms of time and attention. Driving engagement with mentors will be key to ensuring that the mentees get the most out of the wonderful platform and all of its great features. The customer support is world-class and allows for an ease of use for the administrators, mentors, and mentees. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Out of all of the great features, I LOVE the MentorPRO Academy most. The "Connected Futures" training on social capital was transformative for my program participants. One participant remarked, “The Connected Futures training helped me see mentorship and networking differently — not just as transactional, but as something I could actively grow.”

Cons:

The inability to schedule multiple attendees to video meetings was the limiting factor I liked least.

MentorPRO is the best tool for young people to make connections and build their social capital!

Working with MentorPRO has been a game-changer for our mentoring program at the Keystone State ChalleNGe Academy. One of my most memorable experiences was using the platform to help a graduate who was struggling to stay motivated after leaving the residential phase. Through MentorPRO, I was able to send encouraging messages, track his progress toward earning his GED, and provide resources directly through the app. The consistent communication and accountability tools kept him engaged, and seeing him achieve his goal and move on to apply for trade school was incredibly rewarding. That success wouldn’t have been possible without the seamless connection and support MentorPRO provides.

The ability to contact a specified gorup of people, with out external distractions. Ability to see how they are doing, through the Check In portal, the ease of adding new people to our group.

Cons:

Inability to set filters when looking for a Resource really limits accessability. Resources not alphabetized.

MentorPRO is the only mentoring platform that was built on decades of mentoring research, meaning that it includes all of the features that mentoring programs need to be successful. They offer everything from mentor/mentee matching (based on the known factors that affect match success), an intuitive app for mentors and mentees to communicate, a platform for program staff to view live metrics, and expert consultation. Programs that partner with MentorPRO are able to meet with the experts in mentoring, including award-winning researcher, author, and professor, [sensitive content hidden]. During consultation calls, programs can learn how to optimize their strategies so that mentees are able to meet their goals and succeed.

Cons:

Programs can select from lots of different options to select the package that fits their budget and needs.

Great support with a great platform

The MentorPRO team provided excellent support from rolling out the system to monthly success meeting check-ins and data reports. The platform itself is great, but the MentorPRO team support that goes with it really made the process to use MentorPRO to its fullest easy.

Setting up MentorPRO was seamless and the MentorPRO team made it very easy to do. Before implementing MentorPRO we did not have a system to provide the same type of mentoring support and so it elevated our mentoring program to allow for many different features such as direct messaging, broadcast messages, announcements, and providing resources in the Resource Hub.

Cons:

It was hard to get every mentee to use the MentorPRO system, but once a mentee was on MentorPRO, their engagement was very successful.

Ease of use for admin, mentors, and mentees. It's a very user friendly app. The MentorPRO team provides a video on how to best utilize the app which is super helpful.

Cons:

Just having to download one more app - but it's worth it! I personally don't mind, but some students may engage less since it's one more app they need to use on their phone. It would be nice if MentorPRO could be integrated into our LMS, Canvas, so that everything is in one place.
