GitStrum is a good product and reliable platform

5

My experience with GitScrum has been absolutely amazing, especially considering I'm a new user of the platform. I must give them kudos for providing such a helpful and fantastic experience, even with their free trial. It's been a great journey using GitScrum, and I look forward to exploring more of what they have to offer.

Pros:
What I absolutely love about GitScrum is its real-time updates. They have been a game-changer for our business, allowing us to stay on top of things with automation technology. It has made handling complex processes a breeze and optimized our workflow. Moreover, it saves us a significant amount of time through automated recurring tasks, webhooks, and APIs. The seamless integration of these features has truly revolutionized how we manage our projects and collaborate as a team.
Cons:
I believe GitScrum could have provided a way to reach out to their customer services directly through their platform, instead of having to use Gmail or an external email service to contact them. It would have been more convenient and seamless for users to have an in-platform communication channel with their support team.

Vendor Response

We greatly appreciate your thoughtful review. Our team is elated by your feedback, and we're fully committed to enhancing GitScrum on a daily basis. Your insights serve as a driving force behind our constant improvements, and we sincerely thank you for that. We're currently focusing on bolstering our email support, a feature that's set to elevate your experience even further. Moreover, we're excited to unveil an advanced ticket system integrated within GitScrum itself, which is just around the corner. Once again, thank you for being an integral part of our journey towards excellence. Your support inspires us to push boundaries and deliver an exceptional GitScrum experience.

Simple and Efficient Project Management Tool

Very helpful for managing my software development projects on a daily basis. Once you get familiar with the app, it integrates seamlessly with your work routine.

Pros:
- Lifetime license is a great deal - Adapts well for teams working in an agile/scrum framework - The board planning view is very helpful for having a summary of the current project in a glance - Sprints subdivision is very useful for working in iterations - Great customization as for todo lists, ticket fields and workflows. - Excellent checklist widget for tickets that prevents from having to create too many subtickets.
Cons:
- Tables that display information provide poor filtering and sorting functionality. For instance, sprints section is not sortable/filterable at all, whereas it would be useful to filter out closed sprints, and sort by date/name. The same scenario for user stories - not possible to search a ticket by its id, plus the url doesn't use the id either. So the IDs although useful for identifying a ticket have poor usability on the app. - Excel report for time tracking is very useful, unfortunately it does not provide totals.

Reasons for choosing GitScrum

Good reviews despite being a newcomer, and the lifetime deal

Reasons for switching to GitScrum

Was looking for a more complete agile oriented tool at an affordable price

Bad business policy

1

Before they changed their business policy, I was very satisfied. The tool offered me a lot of possibilities to manage my projects and todos. I had a lifetime deal, but this was "undermined" after the business policy changed. Suddenly, advertisements appeared within the software and the platform was also no longer GDPR compliant at that time.

A Hidden Gem

4

GitScrub has the basics covered, and their founder Renato has been very responsive and high coordinative with their audience. It's the humans behind the genius apps like these that you know it's going to be successful not only based on their roadmap, but their relationship to care about their customers. The app isn't the most refined in the market but if you're doing Scrum it already has the tools you need at your disposal.

Pros:
In this technological age it's highly advantageous to be an early adopter. GitScrum has the initiative, goals and momentum to become great, it's not about "if" it will become a competition to the ones on the market right now, but "when" it will become one. I have used this software with a team of approximately 50 people, and it helped us all align with our workflow and tasks. I do wish do see the API and the Mobile App soon, with those two shipped and working, I will be content with their progress.
Cons:
No APIs yet to connect to other apps and it's not live refresh, when moving cards at this point it won't reflect on another user -- also a bit slow on loading cards. A little cluttered on the UI but that can be considered negligible with sprints.

Reasons for switching to GitScrum

They have the application but they don't education on the principles that much how to use it. GitScrum has those information on their site which led to my journey.

Excelent for Desktops. Needs improvement for mobiles

5

I'm very satisfied with GitScrum. It is easy to use, it is easy to configure a project and set up the desired tasks and contexts. The tasks color coding is very helpful to assess the status of the project, either overall, in the dashboars, by sprint or by user story. Minor adjustments would improve the user experience and a mobile application would help.

Pros:
It is easy to use and have a great user interface. The UX designed is great for Desktops and the color coding is very helpful. Using sprints as names is great. This way we can contextualize sprints, instead of just assigning them sequential numbers.
Cons:
Needs improvement in bulk actions, like assigning a couple (or a dozen) tasks to one colaborator or moving the tasks to another sprint/user story. Also, the interface (UX) in mobile devices. A specific mobile application would improve the perceived value a lot.

Reasons for choosing GitScrum

GitScrum provides more features, allowing us to set up metrics to track and evaluate efforts. Also, the specificity to SCRUM management processes were decisive.

Reasons for switching to GitScrum

The specificity of GitScrum. Also the other features.

Ok product, not realtime for teamwork, very basic editor

It is just basic. I think scrum focusing is the right way to follow, it makes Gitscrum a bit difference compare to other tool. However, if the tool is not improve soon, we will find another tool for our daily work.

Pros:
It is fixed to scrum, that is the best score. Simple is advantage and also disadvantage. Most feature seem like other app like Trello but can't meet standard expectation even compare to redmine I used for 5 years. Lifetime deal is good for indie team but I feel not worth for the price.
Cons:
- Slow performance and not even realtime as expectation. - Editor is really basic. At least I need an editor like redmine (more customization like headlike, font, font color,...) - Too many option. For the newbie user, it should be focus and simple (simple here is not lack of feature, simple is enough features. An example for the messing is if I want to mark an issue a bug, there are 2 things that make me confused: task type, a bug control on the top right. - Lack of priority and sorting feature. Like I want to reorder task by priority, how can I do that. - and many other little things but annoying (like: can't insert image to the text, can't copy paste image directly,...)

Reasons for choosing GitScrum

closest to scrum model.

Reasons for switching to GitScrum

Real-time collaboration is the standard for currently working environment especially for indie team. We love google sheet, docs,... we love Trello because of that. However Trello is not design for scrum, it is for general purpose. However, the editor of Trello is quite good (better if it can have advance editor like redmine) and UI/UX is perfect, really easy to use. Redmine, we have used for 5 years, it meet our expectation for old product development model but not really for scrum even I tried scrum plugin. I need realtime feature, Redmine doesn't have that. That why we find another solution, gitsrum is closest to our expectaion (30%).

Pros:
I like mostly the ability to create sub-projects, having an integrated time-tracking and create templates for everything.
Cons:
There are currently a lot of features missing, but I believe that is normal because is a recent platform. What's most disappointing is the UI/UX. When I acquired GitScrum I thought the UI was really bad, but I thought "well, it's a prototype, it will improve later", but now that it was made from scratch AGAIN and is still looking like 2008 is unacceptable, there are so many up-to-date and fully-developed platforms right now where you can get inspiration from. This doesn't seem to be a mater of having few time available, just looks amateur. The integrations were also a surprise, it said it had a lot, but then the only thing they do is to one-time bulk import everything.

Reasons for switching to GitScrum

I was caught in the early-adopting marketing campaign saying that this was a new approach to Agile development. I think that things made from scratch have a huge advantage, they can get insights from fully-developed platforms and improve from there without costs, they don't have to throw any work away and can plan things much better. So I decided to join and contribute for the development of this platform by buying the product and giving feedback, expecting that some day this could evolve to a platform that provided features that no other platform would.

Everything just so so, but the customer service is so BAD

3

So recently I used scrum to develop software, and I come to GitScrum that proposes some interesting features. My first experience : The UI/UX was not good, compared with Trello. The performance was not so good. You need to wait for some seconds just to update the card. My team job is not updating the card, we are software developer which bunch of tasks. Another issue, my team made a mistake in a project setting, unfortunately, after that we (all) can't open project list page LOL. I tried to contact the customer service, there was no response at all, until now, from email nor chat feature in the landing page. I know it's a new brand, I can understand for some bugs, but you need your customer to get back to you, so please IMPROVE your customer experience!
