About Trackabi

Trackabi is a web-based time tracking software designed for small & medium-sized enterprises and freelancers. The platform offers invoice generation, project plans & estimates, gamification of time tracking for higher motivation & engagement, reports & invoices, screenshot capturing, used apps log, browser URL tracking, dashboards, employee leave management integrated with timesheets, time worked reports, payment management & overdue invoice alerts, sharing timesheets, data insights, Git commit import, customizable timesheets, and more.

Trackabi also includes a desktop timer for Windows, Linux, and macOS that can automatically record time worked, make screenshots, and prepare daily user activity statistics. The solution can detect record applications used and idle time, differentiating between work and leisure apps. When managing timesheets manually, Trackabi allows doing it using a daily activity timeline — simply drag your mouse to select the time you spent on a task.

What I like most about Trackabi now is its clean and intuitive user interface, which makes time tracking simple and efficient. Cons:

Trackabi’s timer is sometimes not synchronised, and in some cases, the timer continues to run even when a new timer has not been started or when the system is locked.

Great tool for time tracking

Overall Trackabi is a great tool for time tracking. It would be great if the app autostarts on Ubuntu, for some reason it doesn't start automatically. I have tried configuring the settings, but still, the autostart doesn't work.

We can add time manually in case our network connection fails and the time tracking doesn't happen.

Cons:

Needs autostart feature on my PC boot, also there is a bug with dual boot os, time gets tracked according to the pc local time.

Cons:

The mobile app could be smoother, and sometimes syncing between devices takes a bit longer. A few menus also take some clicking around before you find what you need.

Reasons for switching to Trackabi

I switched from Time Doctor because Trackabi feels lighter, easier to use, and less intrusive. It gives me the tools I need without overwhelming me with monitoring features. The interface is cleaner, the reports are easier to understand, and overall it fits better with how I work.

Pros:

The thing that I like the most about Trackabi is that it does exactly what its supposed to do, nothing more, nothing less. And, als0 the ease of use.

Cons:

Trackabi sometimes increases the CPU utilisation which can cause my machine to perform slowly especially when Im working on multiple tasks at once.

Trackabi is one of the simplest and cleanest timers I have used for work. For me, I find the UI very easy to navigate to the point which is very good for beginners. Helps me stay focused and track my work. Overall, it feels reliable and well-built, especially for freelancers or teams who want a straightforward system.

Cons:

I have been using this for more than a year now, sometimes I think there are more things that can be done like adding a group or team sheet and something like this

I really like that it helps me see how long I spend working vs. using non-productive apps. It shows me when I get distracted or dip throughout the day.

Cons:

It can be a little big laggy when clicking on/off for the timer and loading it up, but other than that I don't have any cons for it.

It makes time tracking simple and easy, while running in the background. You can also log your time manually

Cons:

What I dislike about it is that when logging time using the dialer, it can feel a bit stressful and is prone to errors, especially if you’re trying to be precise or are in a hurry.
