Crisp is a cloud-based helpdesk platform designed to help small to midsize enterprises improve communications with website visitors using personalized campaigns, live chat, and public status pages. The centralized platform lets users create integrated knowledge base systems to quickly access help articles and resolve customer issues in real-time.

Features of Crisp include file sharing, customizable live chat interface, shared inbox, translation, audio/video calling, automated messaging, and more. Users can generate campaigns for specific customers and personalize them by adding videos, images or custom messages. Additionally, it lets businesses create public status pages to monitor system statuses in real-time and notify customers about downtimes/outages through email alerts.

Crisp comes with an application programming interface, which allows businesses to integrate the platform with several third-party applications such as Slack, Zapier, Salesforce, Facebook Messenger, Zendesk, Telegram and more. The solution is available for free and on monthly subscriptions.

Amazing Customer Service and a Great Chat App

Crisp chat has totally replaced our other chat program for my startup at a very fair price. Their set up was a breeze, according to our Marketer, and I personally think their customer support is excellent. You have the ability to add gifs and customize the chat to whatever degree you want. It has really been good for us!

They are very fair about pricing and their customer support is amazing. I had an issue with a duplicate account being created, and their support not only walked me through the problem and helped me solve it, but they also were super nice and friendly and made the whole experience lovely. Plus, their docs are amazing and very helpful!
Cons:
The only problem I had was an accidental duplicate site being created. When I signed up it sent me to what seemed like the correct site, but was actually a copy of ours. This was fixed very quickly though!

Reasons for switching to Crisp

Their pricing went from $99 to $500 a month, which we could not afford.

A power user's support platform

A great tool overall, with some minor hickups. I wish they'd focus a bit more on refining the user experience, at the moment it feels a bit too much like a product developed by developers to other devs or power users.

Very versatile, a true power user tool for customer support among other things.
Cons:
Kinda buggy here and there. Knowledge base editor uses Markdown, and the WYSIWYG editor isn't living up to the name (you don't always get what you see). Editing articles can be cumbersome, especially if they've been imported.

More refined as a product, but lackluster feature set when compared to Crisp.

It was absolute manure. An "american" software outsourced to third-world countries with no quality control and little to no development. At least it's basically free, I don't recommend anyone pay for this.

Cons:
The quality of the helpdesk articles section could be enhanced, especially since videos are currently not permitted. Well, they are permitted but its not an easy process. The structure of the overview page for the helpdesk articles could benefit from better organization. Presently, it only allows categorization without the option for filters. E.g. it would be beneficial to have like a Google Sheet overview with filter functions to navigate through the content easily. This addition would greatly facilitate access to information and improve the overall user experience.

It's usually simple to use, great cost-benefit! For agents it's really simple to use and manage conversations, translations work well, general campaigns and set-ups are also easy and nice.
Cons:
When the operation starts getting more complex sometimes it gets tricky to find workarounds for all needs. The analytics need to be tuned, often times it's hard to be sure on the accuracy, the filters available become not enough.

What I like most is the interface. I like most of the services provided. I like the sub inbox functionality, however it is a shame that I still cannot use it in the application because I still have the old version.
Cons:
There is no AI functionality for chat evaluation There is no NPS for WhatsApp, and especially a way to automate the sending of these NPS as soon as the conversation ends

Works really well with our e-commerce stores - both Shopify and WooCommerce. And their customer support is fantastic.
Cons:
It's too big of a leap from the Essentials plan to the Plus plan. I.e. I would like to have more sub-inboxes, but I'm not paying $200 per month extra for that.

Pros:
Crisp has one of the most generous free trials at 100 profiles and 2 seats. The next plan up is $45/month for 5k user profiles.
Cons:
Crisp gets quite expensive if you need more than 5k user profiles. It becomes $95/month for 50k profiles and then $295 for 200k profiles. Once you exceed 5k profiles, you can start looking at the likes of FreshChat and Zendesk.
