About HQ Rental Software

HQ Rental Software is a cloud-based solution designed to help automotive and equipment rental businesses manage clients, maintenance, prices, billing, online bookings and more. The platform comes with a built-in customer relationship management (CRM) system, which enables managers to view customer profiles, rental history and contact information.

HQ Rental Software includes an admin panel, which allows users to view outstanding reservations details such as vehicle type, price, location, pickup/return date and current status. Features include custom tags, real-time tracking, maintenance scheduling, fleet management, barcode scanning and more. Additionally, users can generate custom rental agreements, upload vehicle images and capture digital signature via its mobile app.

HQ Rental Software includes a drag-and-drop calendar interface, which allows enterprises to manage schedules, appointments and rental period. It is available on monthly subscriptions and support is extended via phone, email, FAQs and other online measures.

Powerful System, But Integration Could Be Better Coordinated

The system itself is excellent. robust, well-designed, and truly comprehensive. Once set up, it runs smoothly and does exactly what it promises. My experience would have been much better if the integration had been coordinated from the beginning by someone like Marco, who later joined the process and greatly improved communication and workflow between me and the rest of the team.

HQ Rental Software is a very complete and powerful system for managing a car rental business. It offers great functionality,reservations, contracts, fleet management, customer data, and automation all work seamlessly once everything is properly configured. I really appreciate how flexible and capable the system is.

Cons:

The integration process could have been handled more professionally. Despite paying for integration, I was expected to take responsibility for connecting the system with our Framer website, even though their team didn’t seem fully familiar with how Framer works. It felt like the responsibility was being shifted back to me as the website developer. Communication was also somewhat confusing at times. Different team members contacted me directly, and in some cases even reached out to our client using technical jargon that the client couldn’t understand. For me, the ideal improvement would be to assign one dedicated project manager who oversees the full integration process and communicates with both the client and the developer clearly and professionally.

I like the system very much. I have had great support from Marco as he has helped me navigate through many issues we were having and took his time and had patience explaining all to me, even if it was repeating himself again to me so I understood.

I like the way it tracks everything for your company. You out have to make sure all information is entered properly an hq will do the rest.

Cons:

I haven't worked with it long enough to find any real bad cons about it yet.

The software is very robust, but simple to use. The onboarding team is very helpful, [sensitive content hidden] is knowledgeable and friendly.

Cons:

No cons for me, they have a lot of integrations and a good knowledge base. If I don't know how to do something I submit a support ticket and the are very fast and repsonsive.

Overall, it is a game changer and the people who helped us were great. Special shout-out to [sensitive content hidden] who we worked with to get set up. Very competent and always personable and professional. 10/10 recommend.

The reports are not customizable. There are several great reports, but some analytics are not available without a separate module

There's many important features to manage a fleet. I really like how all the edge cases are accounted for.

Cons:

There's a steep learning curve. It takes time to get all employees trained on the new processes.

The service, I received a lot of coaching and help.

Cons:

I’d like better integration. They stopped certain support for integration. It caused my developer to pivot, and the site not quite what I wanted. ALSO, the backend is not user friendly I’d recommend really working on that.

Pros:

Initially unsure about using the software as I had local options however am now confident I made the right choice. I still have a few minor items to work through but am becoming more confident with the system. The support system is great. We started renting straight away with a professional integration and system with our website. I was given a mentor for setting up - [sensitive content hidden] - who has answered many questions and provided detailed training. He is very knowledgeable and will go our of his way to assist. I needed assistance on many items initially which wasn't an issue for the team. I was given multiple options to assist me learn the system including zoom meetings, step by step videos and handbook. They consistently follow up and check in which was helpful.

Cons:

- GST options for Au - but team have worked around as far as possible - Would like to integrate with Verizon -24/7 support via phone would make it 10/10 but have been able to work around most times - would be happy to pay for this option - Still integrating some payments but this is being updated

Reasons for choosing HQ Rental Software

Spoke to sales team from HQ who did not pressure us to sign up. They spent time running through the detail prior and gave free trial and assisted with mock scenarios. Extremely helpful in making our decision.

The simplicity of the software and the phenomenal customer service.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing. If there were any complaints or issues we had, the customer support team helped us quickly and their responses were prompt and reliable.

Reasons for switching to HQ Rental Software

Their customer support was awful and the amount of glitches the software provided was through the roof.
