It offers a consent banner module that lets members customize their website using banner layout, color, content, personalized branding and CSS.

The best solution for Cookie Consent on WordPress

As soon as I discovered it I started using it. GDPR is very relevant for web designer, and having such a simple solution for WP is huge.

Pros:

The free tier is enough for the majority of the projects I worked on. It is perfect for cookie consent, and it let you personalize the appearance just enough. I've already installed it on every single website I designed on WordPress. It doesn't surprise me that they have 1M+ installations on WP websites. You are GDPR compliant in a few clicks.

Cons:

No major cons related to the free trial. The only thing I would like to see added is the translation of the default text, available only in English. I need to manually translate it if I want it in Italian (or any other language), but it's fine since it's a free solution.

I chose this particular cookie solution for the auto-block feature. It was easy to implement and I liked that in comparison to other free cookie-solution services, the banner was a little more customisable. I initially had some issue getting my site scanned and the customer service people were simply brilliant. All my questions were answered quickly and any problems almost immediately overcome. I have taken a just a basic banner option for my small site and so to receive such good service is a very welcome surprise.

Cons:

I would not say there is anything I do not like but it would be nice to be able to add an image to the banner as was offered in the trial.

Reasons for switching to CookieYes

I wanted a banner that looked fresh and could be customised more to fit the look of my site. I have no complaints whatsoever about the service offered by Cookiebot. However I have in the past had cause to contact them and did not receive a response. The customer service provided by CookieYes is the main reason that I have chosen to stick with their product.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. Our websites were very slow on mobile after installing the banner. Also the scrolling was working horrible. Only solution they offered (after 1000’s of euros investigation costs) was to restrict the vendors list. This has over 800 vendors and is impossible to go through. Also Google writes all these vendors are needed. So there is no solution and the whole experience with cookieyes was a nightmare!!!!!

It is very easy to use, is customisable and does the job well. When we have the needed help the support team's response has been very prompt and useful.

Cons:

It would be good to have documentation on the website about the CSS classes that are possible to target on the product. This information was provided by the team.

CookieYes is a really easy tool to set-up, customise, and deploy. Customer service is always on hand to help with any queries and potential issues.

Cons:

Nothing. But if I had to pick something, maybe the dashboard pie chart should let you click the segments to see the IPs that are assigned to a specific status.

Very easy to set up, use and manage

Very positive. It was simple to set up, and the one bit of support I did need was provided very quickly.

Pros:

I used CookieYes to set up a GDPR compliant banner on a website to integrate with Google Analytics. CookieYes made that integration legally compliant. The product was very easy to install and configure, and the one question I asked Support was answered overnight. Overall, an excellent outcome!

Cons:

Some potential for ending up with CookieYes being injected twice into the website, with the end result of stack overflow and needing to ask Support for help, but once I'd understood my mistake, it was easily corrected.

Reasons for choosing CookieYes

There are quite a lot of products which claim to make implementation of a GDPR consent banner easy so you can integrate with Google Analytics. But when you look a bit closer at most of them, they're not so good. CookieYes was the best overall, and is working out well for me.

Support ist great. Added consent overlay as feature for us and the ability to set cookies by subdomain. Features that elsewhere cost plenty of money.

Cons:

Overlay and cookies by subdomain should be optional feature in admin page. Maybe add autotranslation from DeepL to admin.

easy to get started with GDPR compliance. because of smart defaults that are good enough for most cases.

Cons:

The fact that sometimes, it doesn't work. Like for example it didn't change the content I was setting, when refreshing the site. I had to ask for the support assistant to help me, but he was competent enough to help me with a workaround.
