Great freight quoting and booking tool

Freightos has been a huge value-add to our business, providing increased visibility to real-time shipping rates and a centralized platform to see all our shipments in on place. I always look on Freightos for rates on shipments to the US - even if I ultimately book elsewhere.

Pros:

Super easy to get real-time quotes. Competitive rates and a good variety of freight partners from which to book freight. Easy to update documents and other information after booking.

Cons:

You typically pay 3 invoices for each shipment - one at time of booking for all known charges, one for customs clearance charges while on the water, and one more for any incidental charges upon delivery (e.g. per diem, demurrage). Ideally, I'd love to only pay 2 invoices - once for the bulk on the front end and once for the remainder.

Seamless Freight platform with great rates! Also glad to see its ability to save locations so you can make future shipments even easier!

Cons:

No ability to see actual pathing for the shipment, would allow one to see precisely wear the order is other than just seeing locations jotted down.

Pros:

It seems cheap at first and like it will make things easier and streamline the process but they will hit you with new charges and provide zero customer service.

Cons:

I was forced to pay 500% more than what I was quoted (and had already paid for) because they claimed I didn't submit a corrected piece of paperwork quickly enough. They had the form for two weeks but waited until a few days before the boat took off to tell me I needed to correct something on the paperwork. I had submitted all my paperwork and paid weeks before and was travelling without access to a printer/computer to do this. A deadline was never communicated and I submitted the paperwork a few days later. Apparently this was too late and now I have to pay more. I tried to go through the dispute process and FreightOs was ABYSMAL. Each email came from a different person, they always said they were looking into things and then I wouldn't hear back for days. Eventually someone told me they agreed: I was never given a deadline and the potential charge was never explained upfront. But FedEx offered to take off $100 of the charge so they were considering it settled. I've repeatedly asked what I did wrong that has made this charge my fault and not FedEx, who failed to communicate appropriately. No one responds. Now they've sent a letter from legal claiming I'm ignoring them and I need to pay immediately. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS COMPANY. I thought the advantage here would be a certain level of support and a streamlining of the process that would help me avoid these kind of charges. I wish I had just done the booking myself and saved the money I'm now losing.

Excellent tool

We have been using Freightos for more than 2 years without complaints. It's an excellent marketplace to search and book all kinds of shipments to several countries. Easy to get online quotes, reasonable rates, reliable and transparent. We highly recommend Freightos!

I miss receiving a notification once the invoice is ready to make the payment - once the goods are delivered.

Does what it says on the tin

This may be as much to do with the chosen supplier as it is with the platform itself, but the process flow, the information at hand, and the way in which the platform and supplier notifies you really does work. You can tell this is a well thought out product designed by those with industry experience. I for one am happy to support the platform.

Put in a feature request to have the commodity code listed within the dashboard, so the you can quickly and easily attain this information. No real moan, just a request to make my life easy!

It is very easy to use, and the prices are very competitive. In a complicated industry, when it comes to dealing with companies abroad, Freightos makes it less painful to run our business

Everything is lad out and let's you what paperwork is need.

Cons:

The only thing that would help a new to importing would be to let the know it helps a lot with Customs too have the shipper in clued their first and last name of the bill of lading & the packing list along with the company name.

You know, it's frustrating sometimes, but it's nice to have multiple carriers to choose from and overall it's less frustrating than other ways to import our stuff. So as much as we want to throw things at the wall sometimes, I think FreightOS is still better than other options out there. Plus they are improving all the time.

Pros:

The platform is easy to use and they've made quite a few improvements to functionality over the years. Customs is now done by one company so we don't have to do power of attorneys every shipment, and uploading documents is a lot easier than it used to be as well.

Cons:

Invoicing. I can deal with just about everything from quote to delivery, but 1) we don't get invoices until like 4 days before they're due, and 2) there's no option to pay by wire through the website. You click wire and they just mark the invoice paid and give you a screenshot of the bank details. I would really like to be able to pay by EFT straight through the website, as I have to get our owner to log into our bank account every time we need to pay FreightOS

DO NOT USE!

Absolutely terrible, it wasn't until I raised a case with customer service that I heard back from my contact that they were investigating. The customer service rep didn't even follow up to share what was found in the "investigation."

My inventory was damaged and is over a month and a half late and still not delivered. I received a call today saying that for the FIFTH time they were again going to have to reschedule delivery due to not having enough trucks.

Cons:

None, my manufactutuer even said I over paid!
