Good to Great

We have been partnering with PCS since 2012. Yes, we have looked at the others, and they simply didn't compare without having to get upsold on different modules. PCS checks all the boxes for our growing fleet, which started with 30 trucks. We have added 200 since then and run four different operations on the same platform thats a win for us

Pros:

No real Hardware Required, 100% cloud-based. Staff is very responsive. The mobile app makes the paperwork collection real-time. Deliver today, bill today is goal they got you.

Cons:

The fleet maintenance part can be challenging if you have your own repair facilities. They're revamping and tapping their customers for input, which I think is awesome.

Frustrating bulky software

Very frustrating overall. Not a very user friendly program. Requires full time staff just to create loads. The uploading feature of schedules didn't work for us. Lots and lots of clicking. Hard to use.

Pros:

I am able to track all of my dispatches and create invoices as long as the data put in is accurate, it gives good history of tracking.

Cons:

It requires so many steps and so many clicks. If you find that a rate needs to be updated or miles need to change, you have to click into every single load. If you need to update an invoice that you create it is difficult to remove or impossible to add items.

Pretty good other than not being able to use reports on our drivers and having to manually run our own reports.

Having all loads and records in one place. Having an app where the drivers can have all of their load information and they can upload their paperwork. This helps us keep up on billing our customers.

Cons:

Reports on the dollar per mile. The app takes over on the bounce miles and our reports are always wrong. If there could be a an option where they do not pull their current location from the app and use the location of the dispatch so we could run accurate reports because we have to do it manually.

The user friendly aspects. The system is as user friendly as it gets. Besides, anything you can't figure out, one simple and quick phone call will get you the answers you are looking for.

Cons:

Inaccurate IFTA reporting. The miles are so far off the actual miles driven, we are forced to manually acquire the data. That takes a very long time.

Getting There, needs more fine-tuning

Hoping for the release of the new web based system to be able to have more customized reports/screens/and options.

Integration, automation, and cradle to grave record keeping. The integration of our tracking is helpful.

Cons:

Clumsy Dispatch Screens. Have to open and close too many windows to get basic information. Maintenance scheduling and record keeping is something to be desired. The automation in dispatching orders is great in theory, but can and will skip dispatches, when dispatching out multiple orders for multiple days. Would be nice to have a drop down box to prioritize orders in the correct order. The assumption of times with orders that have multiple days to pickup, throws mileage off, example order can pickup from 4/18 to 4/20 seems to confuse the system into excessive dead head miles.

There are absolutely no advantages to using PCS Software—only constant issues, delays, and outdated tools.

Cons:

Terrible Customer Service – No timely support or resolution. – Ongoing issues not being addressed (e.g., BOL upload problem). Outdated Software & Misleading Marketing – Features don’t work as advertised. – Basic functions like pre-saving charges are missing. No Scan Option for Paperwork – Can’t digitize or streamline documentation easily. Email Overload – Dispatch emails clogging up drivers’ personal inboxes. – No centralized or filtered system. Mac Compatibility Issues – Completely unusable or dysfunctional on macOS. No QuickBooks Integration – Manual accounting processes needed. – Promised features not working. One User Can’t Upload BOLs – Still unresolved after weeks of support tickets.

I like the ease of the layout as a positive for PCS TMS and a lot of the features are similar to excel with sort and such which is a positive for me.

Cons:

One of the things I like the least is that it freezes and then kicks you out quite often even in the middle of processes. It doesn't go back to where you were at, so you have to waste a lot of time figuring out what it did or didn't finish before it kicked you out.

Great job, can do better

So far, we are satisfied with PCS services. However, pricing needs to be reviewed and system needs more up-to date features like AI etc (some TMS's offer AI services)

Pros:

User friendly. As it is cloud-based we don't have to worry about updates. Mobile-friendliness enables the management to monitor from anywhere. Further, it integrates with any platform out there.

Cons:

Personally I didn't like pricing. Despite being older TMS in the market, price is not competitive. I think pricing drives the customers away from PCS
