Good to Great

We have been partnering with PCS since 2012. Yes, we have looked at the others, and they simply didn't compare without having to get upsold on different modules. PCS checks all the boxes for our growing fleet, which started with 30 trucks. We have added 200 since then and run four different operations on the same platform thats a win for us

Pros:

No real Hardware Required, 100% cloud-based. Staff is very responsive. The mobile app makes the paperwork collection real-time. Deliver today, bill today is goal they got you.

Cons:

The fleet maintenance part can be challenging if you have your own repair facilities. They're revamping and tapping their customers for input, which I think is awesome.

Useful but still needs improvements

Pros:

I think dispatch function is ok. We can enter most of the information we need. Lists, Dispatch, Fleet functions are ok except Accounting.

Cons:

The accounting function needs to be improved a lot. Multiple invoices can be marked as "Pay off" on Invoice Payment Entry, but only one at once can be unmarked. Also, if we want to make an adjustment for an invoice, we should remove all the paid items to do that, but as I said, we need to select each one to remove from "Pay off". One more thing, we can send invoices to customers but in the email that PCS sent, there's no receiver email address stated. When we forward the invoice email that we sent out from PCS to the customer to prove that we sent it out, they always say they didn't receive it, pointing out there's no receiver email address on it.

good, could be better, work on the shutting down then keeping me logged in and having to "log in" to log out just to log back in.

the seamless, transition from putting the load in and then dispatching and sending to the driver. that is all

it shuts down A LOT, while I'm putting in loads, dispatching it will just "bug out" disconnect and shut down.

Pretty good other than not being able to use reports on our drivers and having to manually run our own reports.

Pros:

Having all loads and records in one place. Having an app where the drivers can have all of their load information and they can upload their paperwork. This helps us keep up on billing our customers.

Cons:

Reports on the dollar per mile. The app takes over on the bounce miles and our reports are always wrong. If there could be a an option where they do not pull their current location from the app and use the location of the dispatch so we could run accurate reports because we have to do it manually.

Pros:

I like the ease of the layout as a positive for PCS TMS and a lot of the features are similar to excel with sort and such which is a positive for me.

Cons:

One of the things I like the least is that it freezes and then kicks you out quite often even in the middle of processes. It doesn't go back to where you were at, so you have to waste a lot of time figuring out what it did or didn't finish before it kicked you out.

I don't know why PCS TMS was the one chosen as I wasn't here at the time it was decided.

Great job, can do better

So far, we are satisfied with PCS services. However, pricing needs to be reviewed and system needs more up-to date features like AI etc (some TMS's offer AI services)

Pros:

User friendly. As it is cloud-based we don't have to worry about updates. Mobile-friendliness enables the management to monitor from anywhere. Further, it integrates with any platform out there.

Cons:

Personally I didn't like pricing. Despite being older TMS in the market, price is not competitive. I think pricing drives the customers away from PCS

PCS is definitely more advanced compared to ITS

Inadequate Reporting

When QuickBooks Enterprise is a better reporting program, you know you are missing something important to businesses. Since we can't readily export data from PCS to QuickBooks, we are stuck with using a very expensive "data miner" to get the information needed to run the business.

Pros:

The sales staff seems to use it fairly efficiently to schedule loads and follow up with customers.

Cons:

Everything related to accounting reporting. I'm an accountant, and it's my job to report results to management. With the incomplete and messy reports that we can download from PCS to Excel we are very limited in our ability to report results.

All Around Good System

My experience with PCS TMS is that I like the system. It is user friendly. The training is also user friendly and anything you forget you can find in the Help search.

Pros:

PCS customer support is great any time we need help we receive it. PCS gives you the ability to have everything you need right at the click of a button with its Data Management.

Cons:

Not having the ability to do everything from your keyboard without having to touch a mouse. I think that this could make for a faster and smother process in the system.
