Heimdal Next-Gen Endpoint Antivirus is an advanced antivirus solution with next-generation capabilities. Its unmatched threat intelligence combined with progressive forensics and firewall integration can enhance any company’s security through a complete endpoint detection and response (EDR) approach.
Heimdal Next-Gen Endpoint Antivirus relies on signature-based code scanning. This means that it closely monitors the files that are transferred within an organization, protecting endpoints against a variety of cyber threats, including malware, ransomware, and APTs. The feature allows you to perform file scans actively in the background in real-time. Or, if you think that something suspicious is happening, you can run scheduled or on-demand scans for your endpoints and detect any unlawful activity.
In addition to signature-based code scanning, Heimdal Next-Gen Endpoint Antivirus also performs real-time cloud scanning. Known files are sent to the Heimdal database and run through advanced detection algorithms determined by machine learning. In this way, our NGAV can detect even the most robust cyber-threats out there, including much-dreaded polymorphic malware.

Robust protection second to none customer support

I have used and recommended AV software for over 20 years and Heimdal is the only product I would use or recommend now.

Developed by people who eat and sleep security - cross-platform and reported through a web-based central console

Cons:

Occasional Javascript errors on Mac. Occasional false positives.

Heimdal is a product that is keeping our environment safe

Pros:

The ease of use, but also the level of support. I have never experienced such a good support as with Heimdal. They are fast and 100% of the questions are answered in a way that I like.

Cons:

The pricing is a bit vague. I would rather buy a product with all functionality in it instead of having to buy a licnse for each particular part of the software. I get always the feeling that I am missing functionality because of that.

At the beginning the pricing was interesting, but also the support was very good. Short lines to support and prompt answers to our questions. We were one of the first to implement Heimdal and therefore also took a risk with it. But after 4 years we are still there !

I was not satisfied about the old product. WE have had several Ransomware attacks while having this product.

Works with other software/antiviruses that I already have installed on my computer. Works standalone and it does not need any monitorisation from my end. It also helps me not to worry about the day-to-day use of my personal computer and work. All in all a good product.

Pros:

First of all, for a free trial/free product, this is one of the most complex ones. I had paid products that do not offer so much even if they were paid. Also, the support for the free trial/free product is there even if you did not both it.

Cons:

As of now I do not have any issues to report regarding the product. All in all a good product.
