It is still the solution to be chosen, so I recommend that everyone try it before buying another variant.

Our company has used Nakivo as its backup solution for over seven years. From the beginning, I have appreciated how simple and intuitive the software is to use. I practically never needed to read the documentation to perform basic backup or restore operations. The online help for advanced features is very well organized and descriptive. Microsoft 365 and Proxmox support are among the most important of multiple features added over the years.

Cons:

- Backup to tape is slower than other available solutions, which is why it is not a viable option for us. - There were a couple of minor glitches, but they weren't significant enough to contact support.

Nakivo has worked excellently for our needs to back up virtual servers, we save storage space, we recover servers in a matter of minutes in case of any inconvenience, and it has an intuitive and simple interface.

Nakivo is a tool that meets our expectations, backups of virtual servers are performed efficiently, saving storage space. Simple implementation. Recovery from backups has been fast and effective, its interface is very intuitive and simple. and Technical support has always responded quickly and accurately.

Cons:

What I didn't like was that it was not in Spanish, but in version 11 several languages were added.

Possibility of backing up all our platfroms is plus for me.

Cons:

Any update is pain. There is huge chance that software update wont end well and you have to contact support to help you with remediation. Support is also not best i saw out there.

Reliable and Easy-to-Use Backup Solution with Excellent Support

My overall experience with NAKIVO has been excellent. The product is reliable, efficient, and easy to manage. The quick support response and helpful remote sessions make it very convenient to troubleshoot and learn new features.

NAKIVO Backup & Replication is very easy to use and has a clean interface. The support team is very responsive — they even provide remote assistance when needed. It also supports immutable backups, and the VM backup compression works really well, saving a lot of storage space.

Cons:

So far, I haven’t found any major issues. However, it would be great if the real-time replication setup process could be simplified even more for new users. Also, when the backup folders are encrypted, it becomes difficult to identify which VM each folder belongs to.

The Pro's and Con's of Nakivo BU&R

One of confidence, this software is a strong tool for IT Environments and their costing model is fair too! VM's are priced per socket, etc.

Ease of use and functionality, fantastic product that runs and doesn't fail. Easy to backup and restore VM's and you can also store your backups on various media such as NAS, USB, AWS (3-2-1) and also enables you to run your OWN backups of your OFFICE 365 mailboxes and One Drive data.

Cons:

The product is stable and seldom needs to be supported by the vendor but they MAKE you pay for support on ALL licenses (in retrospect) as soon as you want to buy more licenses! I went a whole year without support as I was more than confident of the product, only to be told that I have to back-date support if I want any more licenses! Rather irritating given the stability of the product!!

NAKIVO: Cost-Effective and Reliable Backup Solution

I have been using Nakivo for approximately 6 years. The Nakivo system interface is user-friendly and quick to learn, it has good features for example efficient backups, good encryption and fast recoveries. Nakivo has increased our data protection and reduced downtime. The only area that might need some improvement is reporting, but overall, the system performance, cost-effectiveness and included features makes it the best solution for our backup requirements.

Produce only if NAKIVO is with you :)

NAKIVO helped me in the event of a host failure as well as damage to the virtual machines. In these cases, a previously prepared backup helped.

The most important thing is the reliability of this tool. It has saved me several times in my work.

Cons:

I don't see any disadvantages of NAKIVO. For me it would be easier to have backups in the form of easily transferable files than a complicated repository, but of course I appreciate functionality and reliability above all.

VMware ended the support of its VDP tool. Veeam was good for a while in free version but to expensive later to buy.
