About Forge

Forge is a server management application that can deploy and install up-to-date PHP applications on DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr, AWS, Hetzner, and more.
With Forge, users can easily deploy updated code to PHP applications by pushing code to master on GitHub, Bitbucket, or custom Git repository.
All Forge servers require SSH key authentication and your firewall comes configured out of the box.

Forge AutoDesk helps with building software designed for automation and rapid tooling aimed towards the industrial market. - team management - role management - automation workflows - analytics and more

Cons:

Pricing is a little towards the higher note, and sometimes feels as if the value for money is not there.

Great for beginners in deploying

I love the simplicity to install (Laravel-) apps on Forge. You can tell that it comes from the pens of the Laravel developers. It's great for beginners in deploying and you get good and fast responses from the support.

- Pricing - Less 1-click installs than competitors - Still not sure about GDPR compatibility

Easy to set up Laravel instances with DigitalOcean

It's been great. The tool is intuitive and creates a great environment to manage my laravel project.

Easy to set up, works effortlessly with Laravel, auto-deploy with git, horizon and inertia ssr built in

Cons:

It ends up being a little extra overhead cost on top of your server, which can add up. But the ease of use for a newbie is great.

forge spares a DevOps-Engineer

We just love Forge and its infrastructure around. It helped us overcome the trauma of employing an egocentric, moody and messy system administrator.

Pros:

Forge is perfect for deployment of new websites/applications that run on laravel.Since it's not only suited to use AWS as hosting but also e.g. Hetzner to deploy servers on it's perfect for our purposes and optimal GDPR compliance.Forge helps us to waive costs for dev-ops engineers who would otherwise do all that automatization regarding spawning new servers, installing a certain software-stack on it and deploying new applications on our servers. All of that is made within seconds now. Cronjobs for maintenance and updates do their rest.

Cons:

Actually, I can't really find something right now. Forge just does its job, it's easy to use, install and configure. So maybe a DevOps engineer knows better than me about the cons.

Multiple integrations such as DO, Vultr, Amazon etc Easy API tokens and SPA auth. Smooth deploy and task setup.

Cons:

I have not really had any issues with Forge as of yet.

The best Laravel server manager

Pros:

It is very simple to set up a new server and deploy a project in minutes. Many servers can be managed from one place, and it is very easy to deploy changes and update projects.

Cons:

It can be hard to learn to use as a beginner. It is quite complicated and while that is a benefit, it is daunting at first.
