Two Years with Orah

One of the biggest highlights for me was how user-friendly Orah is. Despite offering a wide array of tools and functionalities, it didn’t feel overwhelming. The onboarding process was smooth, and I was able to dive right into using the platform without much of a learning curve. The support team was incredibly helpful and responsive, always quick to offer assistance when needed.

Pros:

The thing I liked most about Orah is its intuitive interface and ease of use. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced user, it feels accessible from the get-go, which is a huge plus. The design is sleek and modern, making navigation smooth and hassle-free. I also appreciate the customer support that comes with Orah. They are quick to respond and offer helpful solutions, which made my experience even better. Overall, Orah stands out for its user-friendly design, robust features, and excellent customer service. Cons:

I found the pricing structure to be on the higher side, especially for smaller teams or individuals. Although Orah offers a lot of value, the cost might not be as appealing for users who don’t need all the advanced features, making it feel like a bit of an investment.

An Easy and Reliable Way to Track and Build Your Community

I used Orah when it was once Boardingware when I worked at an international boarding program. Loved it then and love it now as Orah. I introduced the product in my current place of work for our youth programs held in the summer. Makes our lives so much easier!

Pros:

The ease to set up the platform, use the platform, and share with students. I enjoy the team that works with me each year and how easy it is to talk with them, get the latest updates, and work out any issues.

Cons:

It's hard to create your own training material for staff and students to use. However, I've learned they are creating an Academy with all the videos/ articles for all their features. They have reached out for feedback and I look forward to the library they create!

Boarding House

Probably a better record of what is happening in the boarding house that can be seen by the click of the button and a better way of providing proof of anything that is queried.

Pros:

Took awhile to get the hang of it and found in the early days wished we doing the old way. Now that its part of our daily routine and used to it I do see the benefits of it.

Cons:

Getting the students and the parents on board with it, especially the parents. Felt like I had turned into a right nag reminding them to do orah passes.

We've just released our (upgraded) Orah Passes tool for free - where parents can request a pass/log an absence without an account in a few clicks. As well as a communications tool, where you can send reminders to students & parents automatically (so we can do the nagging). Please give it a go and let us know how you like them! Orah Review

I think giving full access to Orah would be much more effective. We have veteran staff who can teach the new hires on how to use the Orah to make them efficient in the daily duties.

Pros:

Once a user learns how to use it, it is quite easy to use. It helps me and the rest of the team stay on top of leaves, passes, parental sign-ins, and sign-outs, and event attendances.

Cons:

I didn't care for the tutorial mandate before being able to use the program.

Perfect to monitor students attendance, and accurate for downloading attendances reports.

Cons:

When students sign out on ORA, it takes a while to reflect on our system.

Orah provides fast eyes on the student populations' wellbeing allowing teachers to quickly connect and support students in need.

Cons:

I would benefit from a video series in the Help Centre when adding new tools/features and a platform to connect with other educators and schools.

The use of the Mood Meter, easy-to-navigate platform, ability to customize numerous features and the quick response for support.

User interfaces easy to learn and understand

Cons:

Administration Interfaces. They may not be too difficult but are a bit complicated to get right. This may be partly due to the wide functionality options associated with solutions.
