About Lanes & Planes

Lanes & Planes provides an online portal for booking and managing all aspects of business travel. Users can book flights, trains, buses, and choose from over 900,000 hotels within the platform, where all bookings and travel expenses are centralized.

L&P provides admins with simple role management, insights on all travel statistics and analytics, and also ensures that all trips booked are compliant with company travel policies. Native mobile apps for iPhone and Android enable anytime, anywhere access to bookings, itineraries, and tickets, even when offline, and permanent synchronization between the desktop and mobile app ensures that travel itineraries are always up to date.

Users can submit travel expenses to accounting by simply taking photos of their receipts inside the app. The software combines an efficient travel management system with a 24/7 concierge service for all business travelers.

Efficient and convenient business travel solution

Overall, our team has had a positive experience with Lanes & Planes. It simplifies corporate travel by keeping everything organized in one place, and support is usually responsive when we need help. The best part is how everything related to business travel is centralized in one platform—booking flights and hotels, managing itineraries, and handling expense reports. It saves a lot of time and reduces back-and-forth emails. The mobile app is also convenient for travelers on the go to submit expenses.

Pros:

I like the simplicity that Lanes and Planes brings to the travel booking process. The all-in-one solution allows you to search, book, and manage travel expense reports all in one tool. This saves time and money. The User Interface is intuitive and easy to understand

Cons:

I can't say anything negative in general. The only thing is that sometimes when I search for flights, the first flight of the day isn't displayed first.

Excellent management software, but there is still room for improvement.

As a company management tool, it's very convenient and systematic. However, its support for overseas business travel is still far from perfect.

As a company management software, the system is streamlined, making application and approval very convenient.

Cons:

Booking hotels abroad is a disaster; you can't find the hotel you need. When ordering train tickets in Germany, it's often difficult to find the train you want, but bahn.de makes it easy.

A solid companion for travel planning

When my employer introduced this platform, I was worried that it would limit my ability to customize my business travel - I travel a lot and being able to choose and optimize every moment is fundamental. However, I could learn how to use it in five minutes and I am now using it regularly with satisfaction.

Pros:

Lanes & Planes is an extremely complete platform, giving you access to the best offers anywhere on the Internet. Even if you already searched on multiple consumer platforms, L&P often ends up with a better price. Also, when they are limited by external factors (such as Ryanair's horrible anti-OTA policies) they still manage to provide you good service and make things work by putting in extra effort. In fact, support is one of their high points.

Cons:

The UI still has some quirks and small flaws, some even obvious (such as the cursor not moving automatically to the return date after entering the first one, or having to restart the search process when the search expires, rather than just reloading the page). The amount of information can be overwhelming and hard to navigate at times, such as when getting 50 slightly different room offers for the same hotel. But in the end, you always get what you want pretty straightforwardly.

The tool is intuitive, it's easy to book a trip and to filter for what is important for the traveler. The booking confirmation comes through immediately and expense management is also intuitive.

Cons:

The reporting is awful, it's not really possible to get the easiest reports and the ones you can obtain contain so much information that is irrelevant and the important information is hard to get out of it.

Simple and powerful

Pros:

Simple interface, book almost all company travel very simply. No need to bother with any financial things. Very easy to use and a powerful search - train, bus, planes combined. The same goes with the accommodation. I'm very happy with it's integration to db (deutsche bahn). Booking seats works great.

Cons:

The only real downside I ever came across was flix bus travel. The lanes and planes booking process didn't offer the seat selection, something that I use a lot when using flixbus.

Pros:

Very easy to book my tickets and always the best pricing. I understand that it gets data from a wide range of platforms. As a corporate client, I an very satisfied with the service. I used it many times and always had a pleasant experience. The support is also great! It is very helpful on business trips.

Cons:

Sometimes you would have to wait for your business trip confirmation, but it is completely normal because your supervisors would need to confirm the trip.

Great app and travel buddy.

I've been using 'Lanes and Places' app for the last five years. Due to frequent traveling, this tool has become an essential part of my day-to-day work. I love the app, and the customer experience is at a high level.

An extremely useful and helpful solution. Both the app and the customer service are responsive, helpful, and efficient.

Cons:

The searching function for the hotels is taking a bit too much time. In the hotel searching function, it seems that the flexibility of the filtering is too broad/complex, and the data displayed has a noticeable delay.

Great Customer support

Using them for few month. Until now all seems to work very good and I am happy to have an assistant when is coming to traveling. The possibility of buying Group tickets is something that I like very much.

I recently had an issue related to my legal name on my Lanes & Planes account, and I reached out to their customer service for support. I was impressed by how quickly they responded and how efficiently they handled my case. Not only were they prompt, but they also offered a creative, out-of-the-box solution that could solve my issue smoothly. Great experience—excellent customer support!

Cons:

The experience until now was very good and I could not find anything to complain about. Maybe just to mention that the solution came in the second reply as the first reply to my question was quite standard.
