They are constantly updating the platform while taking input from the end users. I have been selected to work on the TRACS Advisory Council.
Cons:
The parts process is still clunky and time consuming. While I understand the reasoning for the process, it is still time consuming.

Benefits of NAPA TRACS

I really like Napa TRACS. Anytime i need to access invoices or estimates i can simply hook up to my laptop and move forward. I didn't need to buy any special electronics to utilize the product. Being able to let the consumer see how professional and sophisticated the software looked was a huge bonus and made my store even more appealing.

Being able to look up VIN's and license plate numbers really help in accurately identifying a vehicle.
Cons:
Some small glitches may occur, so you need to check your invoices before you finalize anything. Really not that big an issue, since you should be double checking anyways.

When i visited the websites, it looked like AutoLeap was more concerned with dissuading people from using NAPA TRACS than they were about meeting our needs. NAPA TRACS clearly showed how they could help us from the beginning.

Napa Tracs helps me tracks parts, tools, and fluids with ease as well as create invoices whenever i need. I would also say i love the vin lookup

At times it can seem make me feel frustrated when the system lags or it glitches & crashes. It also seems to be a really big app that make my computer slow at times

We've used this program almost exclusively for the last 12 years. It has much to offer, but as it's been replaced with the Enterprise software, getting support and improvements can be difficult. The things we like include being able to group all job-related items together; building jobs with labor, parts and sub-items; ensuring POs are received prior to invoicing; noting how our new customers heard about our business; various report options to help us learn about our productivity. We've just moved our Senior Technician to book time and the two reports that reflect book time are mostly helpful, when the data is accurate.
Cons:
There is little to no support for the Legacy software, and the team is clear about there being no improvements to this software - that's frustrating. It's pointless to share other frustrations as the Legacy program is not longer offered to start-up shops for use.

Napa Tracs is very user friendly. I like how the accounts payable is set up and the payment process works. We also really like the formating of the invoices and how they very clearly display the needed information
Cons:
We need better inventory management systems, you can not use tracs on specific devices, to do any dvis you have to pay for an additional service

that i can use it on a mobile device as opposed to being glued to a desktop. that alone makes it convenient and flexible to work with. the cost is pretty low too. essentially unliimited users and it streamlines almost every function for the parts department. i couldnt imagine the old days before this level of instant tracking and accountability

i didn't like that there was no free trial, at first anyway. but even if there was I still would've ended up paying for it.
