•Price of Clear Point is on the high side for a local governmental agency, especially with tightening budgets.

One Year and Counting - Great Application & Great Technical Support!

The staff who are available on-line for support are great! It's so refreshing to get immediate feedback when I'm working in the software. There has never been a time that I have to wait more than a few minutes. The staff are very knowledgeable, as well. Very positive experience each time!

Pros:

Clearpoint Strategy has thought of everything. This system has provided our organization with a solution for managing our strategic plan in an organization that touches dozens of different industries. The setup and customization options are key for flexibility in building exactly what works for the organization.

Cons:

I would like to have better summary report functionality and export options that retain sorts and also condense spacing to reduce the number of pages in a briefing book or summary report. I would also like to have better workload and capacity management options for owners and their assigned initiatives. It’s currently a manual count line by line as needed to ensure we have appropriate workload management.

ClearPoint is a very user-friendly strategy management platform. The entire team that we worked with, from sales to onboarding/training/and customer support has been great. Whenever questions arise, they are always quick to help!

Cons:

The only "negative" that comes to mind on the platform is the AI assistance. It's definitely not terrible, but I think it could use some refinement to provide better, more thorough answers.

Reasons for switching to ClearPoint Strategy

Viva Goals was not an option for "what product did you switch from"...Microsoft retired the Viva Goals platform.

Customized yet streamlined

Overall, our experience has been positive. We were able to design a streamlined interface with our rep's support, and the feedback has been that it is intuitive and easy to use. It is tailored to our strategic framework and will provide insight into our strategy work, which was missing when we were dependent on communal Google docs. We are looking forward to building out the metrics and reporting in our second phase of the implementation.

Pros:

We like the flexibility and ability to adapt the tool closely to our strategy framework. The customer support has been great. Our representative also provided several hours of training sessions to our administrative team here in the District to get them up to speed quickly. We also got high scores for the reference tutorials our ClearPoint rep generated for us; the responses confirmed that they are extremely helpful.

Cons:

I started learning the back-end configuration to support the tool on my own at my manager's request before I was told that ClearPoint would continue to provide support to us indefinitely. The back-end configuration is challenging and has a steep learning curve. Happily, I don't have to support it on my own.

Reasons for choosing ClearPoint Strategy

Parsec was also highly customizable but extremely expensive. ClearGov did not have the product maturity that ClearPoint has. Asana has a goal tracking feature but is geared more towards project and portfolio management; the strategy tracking features are very constrained and not customizable to map to our framework. Also, many users don't like Asana, and we are considering switching.

Strategic planning, strategy execution and monitoring. We use ClearPoint to display and track key performance indicators across our enterprise. More and more users are accessing the site and we continue to migrate more info to the site, which has improved transparency and easy of data sharing.

Top benefits include ease of use as well as report customization. Additionally, customer support is exceptional! Highly responsive and solution oriented.

Cons:

Although almost any type of report can be generated, the visual design of these reports is mostly unchangeable.

The software is pretty user-friendly and offers a number of custom layouts and fields that are really helpful for my organization. The customer support has been fantastic.

Cons:

It does take a while to set up, so there may be something to having support for setup. There are a handful of small features that are missing that would have made the software more useful to my organization--more flexible reports, more granular permission-granting, ability to add run charts.

Ease of use, ease of setup, flexibility, strategic plan tracking (we previously housed our plan in a word document)

Cons:

There are a couple of features that are only available within the highest level package and there are fewer user licenses available in the package that we have, but it's what suits our organization best at this time.

Reasons for choosing ClearPoint Strategy

ClearPoint offered the greatest number of features that we were seeking (project tracking capabilities, reporting, outward facing dashboard, strategic plan management), and the peer recommendations and customer service references were top notch. We have not been disappointed.

What I’ve appreciated most about ClearPoint Strategy is how intuitive and structured the platform is for managing scorecards and tracking strategic goals. It brings everything into one centralized space, which makes reporting and performance conversations far more efficient. The dashboards are clean, customizable, and easy to navigate, even for team members who aren’t especially tech-savvy. It truly streamlines what used to be a very manual process. The AI aspect is also a huge bonus for analyzing data and suggestions for how to make improvements!

Cons:

There can be a bit of a learning curve at first, especially when building out scorecards or adjusting advanced settings. However, once you understand the structure and logic behind the system, it becomes very manageable. With a little patience and guidance, it’s easy to get comfortable using the platform. The Support Team has been easily accessible, attentive and thorough every step of the way!
