About Supermetrics

Supermetrics is a reporting solution that helps small to large businesses to transfer marketing data on external reporting, analytics, storage and data visualization platforms, such as Google Sheets, Excel, DataStudio, BigQuery and Snowflake.

Supermetrics lets team members set specific metrics and dimensions to source, extract and blend data from multiple marketing platforms, including HubSpot, Facebook Ads and Google Analytics. It allows employees to configure workflows to automatically update and refresh reports on a monthly, daily, weekly or hourly basis. Additionally, businesses utilizing Snowflake can manage, edit, customize and save extraction schemas for further use and modification.

Supermetrics offers an application programming interface (API), which allows businesses to import marketing data into third-party solutions such as Tableau, Qlik and Power BI. It is available on monthly and annual subscriptions and support is extended via email, community forum, documentation, live chat and other measures.

Pros:

Connecting data sources to Google Data Studio for reporting is difficult when you have to setup so many API connectors for each client on each platform. Supermetrics makes this process simple. I love it!

Cons:

Pricing could be lower considering the no-touch service they provide. Hard to justify the cost relative to the service offered.

Reasons for switching to Supermetrics

Raven Tools is the same cost but doesn't have as many connectors available or client slots available for the same pricing tier.

If you use Looker Studio - This is a must

The customer service is top notch. I love platform subscriptions when a dedicated account rep checks in and has knowledge beyond their platform. They are also a problem solving company. I've requested different connectors and they came through. They also provide great roadmaps on data journeys. Our company is progressing with their help.

Pros:

Having one platform that has all the connectors in one is super helpful. Being able to combine multiple data sources into one looker studio report is also a key perk. I also like that their Google connectors are more robust than the native Google ones in Looker Studio.

Cons:

Certain connectors require reconnecting monthly, but they have a really nice UX in their dashboard that makes this fairly easy.

Very simple software, does what it says on the tin

Using supermetrics plus Google data studio allows me to create reports for my clients at a cheaper cost then using a paid software

Pros:

Allows me to connect Facebook data to Google data studio at an affordable price

Cons:

Sometimes the connection fails and I have to reconnect which is annoying. I have to be logged into my email account as well, which can be annoying as it's not the same account that has the analytics, so I have to create and share reports across users. Would be nice if I could add more users to the supermetrics account.

Overall, my experience with Supermetrics has been very positive. It’s a powerful and reliable tool for centralizing marketing data from multiple platforms into one place. Setting up connectors is straightforward, and once the automations are in place, it saves a significant amount of time on manual reporting. The flexibility to customize queries and schedule automatic updates makes it ideal for ongoing campaign tracking and performance analysis.

It connects seamlessly with most major marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and pulls data directly into tools like Google Sheets, Excel, Looker Studio, or BigQuery without needing code. And also the fact that they have a really strong library of data visualization

Cons:

The cost can be high, especially if you need multiple connectors or use it across several accounts or clients.

Institutional reporting platform with a lot of public support but is not worth the price.

Look, Supermetics is good. It's a great solution for many people but for a small agency with only a couple of clients that just happened to have a significant adspend, it was sunsustainably expensive - Plus the prices have tripled across the course of a couple of years. Frankly, for what I needed it for, there are other SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper options out there. Supermetrics is like the Clickfunnels of reporting software. Eeryone is spruiking it to claim that sweet affiliate kickback money but is it the best solution? They've gotten away with charging way more up until smaller players come onto the scene and offer the same functionality at a fraction of the price. In my case, a lifetime deal for similar funstionality at one third of the monthly price of Supermetrics. I'll not be going back.

The setup is comprehensive, there's a bunch of handy templates, it makes reporting a breeze. Supermetrics is tight.

Those eye watering price tags when you start spending any real budget.

What I liked most about Supermetrics was how it simplifies complex data integration. It connects multiple marketing and analytics platforms seamlessly and allows users to automate reporting workflows that would otherwise take hours to do manually. The interface is intuitive, and the flexibility to use it with Google Sheets, Looker Studio, and BigQuery makes it a powerful tool for us.

Cons:

However, one thing I didn’t like was that authentication often has to be done multiple times, which can interrupt workflows and slow down automation. It also loses connection multiple times.
