Essential platform for board governance.

It was quite positive. Before this software creating board packs was extremely manual and needed a lot of user intervention. Any updates that came in late were in risk of not making it in. there was always the possibioity of incorrect packs being used by members. Storing them was also a pain.

Pros:

It allows you to signup for only the modules that you need. It is cloud based and can be used on any device with a browser as well as native iOS apps. It is very easy to create and update books and to keep them updated across all users to ensure the most recent pack is available.

Cons:

Some of the user/committee setup needs to be done by customer service. While they are quite responsive it seems unneccessary and they are improving on this. If you have a small board/irregular meetings it may be costly for you.

Makes it easier to be a board chair

Diligent is the go-to platform for the hospital system where I'm a board chair. Having a common platform across all hospitals makes it easy to go from meeting to meeting across facilities.

Diligent is a solid solution for a Board portal

Overall, Diligent has been and excellent tool that is easy to setup meetings and easy for participants to log into to review posted materials.

Pros:

It is extremely easy to create an agenda and post files to Diligent. Also, you can copy prior meetings to create new ones, which is especially helpful if the agenda has few to no changes.

Cons:

Diligent has sporadically been buggy. However, customer support is very responsive.

Diligent was much easier to use and was used by board members that were on other company boards.

Efficient Way to Create Board Books

It has saved me many many hours when it comes to compiling and distributing board books before each meeting. Especially love that you can replace/edit a document rather quickly and easily without disrupting the order/pagination of the book like it would have occurred when compiling a book using Word or Adobe.

Great system, easy to use and sleek

I've had a good experience using Diligent Boards as an administrator. The users I support have never expressed frustration using the system as it's very straightforward. The changes I make apply right away (I know some systems require an overnight update to display changes).
