About SurveyMonkey Apply

SurveyMonkey Apply is an online application management solution that helps non-profits and foundations, education and private sector organizations select candidates for grants, scholarships, sponsorships and other programs.

Apply provides a configurable portal for applicants, reviewers and administrators that can be used anywhere, at any time. For administrators, Apply provides an activity dashboard that offers at-a-glance program management and application tracking.

Organizations can collect all data in one place using 20 different question types, skip logic, document uploads and other features. Further, Apply offers configurable eligibility quizzes and form validation. Administrators can also keep their processes on track with Apply’s contact management features (e.g., automated email reminders), and they can make use of Apply’s automations (e.g., automated stage changes).

SurveyMonkey provides bundled implementation services and unlimited technical support. The system is also secure, with granular, role-based permissions, round the clock monitoring, searchable audit trails and data privacy and security controls.

Survey Monkey… My pick for Surveys

It was quick and easy. Very efficient taking a survey as opposed to sending emails or maing phone calls to multiple contacts.

The amount of people I could reach when I executed a survey. When you need numbers from people it is really easy to jump on Survey Monkey and execute a survey.

Cons:

I didn’t really find anything that I didn’t like with Survey Monkey. Making sure you are asking the right questions is important.

I sincerely do not have anything good I like about this software, the customer support team is very poor when it comes to answering i have not found any value for my money, all the questions and response are always not align. All the donor and donation management team are so weak that I don't even understand how they operate the security of the platform is extremely uncalled for the data Management os so poor also.. they have zero on User and membership management extremely zero on that

SurveyMonkey Apply -- Poorly Designed, and Poorly Managed

Very, very poor. We paid them $10,000 for one year of service and we received nothing useful in return. We were told repeatedly during our sales calls that the platform could handle the specific tasks we needed it to handle, concerning back end management of applications. Then, after we paid them the full, $10,000, we spent hours with their design team, trying to create something that would work for our needs as they had promised. It was a dead-end. The platform is just so poorly designed. In the end, I found Cognito Forms, and using that in combination with Microsoft Power Automate turned out to be infinitely more useful than SurveyMonkey Apply, at a small fraction of the cost. When I asked for a refund from SurveyMonkey, they refused, citing the hours that their designer had spent with us, trying to set up the programs we wanted to use. When I tried to negotiate a fair accounting for that person's time, they cited an exorbitant hourly rate, which negated the $10,000 we had spent. When I countered with a more reasonable rate, they never responded. They literally never responded. In the end, we wrote it off and moved on.

It technically does what it purports to do. It does allow you to create a somewhat customized, online application process.

Cons:

So many things. The structure for how each application needs to be established and the flow that is presented to an applicant is stilted and counter-intuitive. Managing applications on the back end is limited and proscriptive, contrary to what we were told in our many sales calls with them.

SurveyMonkey is a quick and easy way to get quick answers without having to click so many different tabs like other survey type programs. I love how simple it is and I can even explain how to use over the phone to my mom!

I would say it can be a bit costly for what you might need, but it is still a great platform for everyday needs or work!
