Pros:
Automate the boring stuff or get creative and make great use of it. I was able to with the Premium version automate notifications built of Kusto Query Language results creating a programmatic way of achieving these results cutting out the human flaw. It's interface and helpful flow connectors make it easy to make an automation without any coding technical knowledge
Cons:
Copilot assistance is very unhelpful and will often ruin your flow rather than aide or assist you.

Honestly, my experience with Microsoft Power Automate has been a game-changer! It's been like having a super-efficient virtual assistant right by my side. Automating tasks like attendance tracking, assignment notifications, and even grading has freed up so much of my time. The easy-to-use interface made it a breeze to create workflows, and the Power Automate Process Mining gave me valuable insights into our teaching processes. Plus, the AI Builder and GPT integration? Mind-blowing! I could make my automations super smart and unique.

Pros:
Oh, man, I absolutely love Microsoft Power Automate! The best part was how easy it made automation. I mean, I’m no tech wiz, but with the drag-and-drop tools in this software, I can automate processes without breaking a sweat. Pre-made connections and templates were also lifesavers! They saved me a lot of time by automating those routine tasks in my classroom. And let’s not forget the Power Automate Process Mining feature, it was like there was a magic crystal ball telling me exactly what to automate. Super helpful!
Cons:
Well, Power Automate was awesome, but I did face a couple of hiccups. Some of the more complex automation stuff required me to learn a bit more about the software's capabilities, and that took a bit of time. Also, there were a few times when I needed connectors for specific third-party services, and they weren't available. It would have been nice to have a more extensive library of connectors to cover all my needs.

Reasons for switching to Microsoft Power Automate

Our needs evolved over time, and we discovered that Microsoft Power Automate's scalability and flexibility better suited our changing requirements.

Great for making work life a bit easier!

5

Overall, Power Automate’s been a pretty smooth experience so far. The little workflow we set up for sending jobs to our system has been super handy, even though I haven’t poked around too much into everything else it can do just yet. I get the feeling there’s a lot more I could use it for, but I just haven’t had the time to play around with it. For now, it does what I need, doesn’t get in the way, and makes a few everyday tasks way easier.

Pros:
One of the biggest perks of using Microsoft Power Automate for us has been how easy it is to trigger jobs straight from Teams. We set up a simple button so we can right-click and send a job directly to our job-system email, and honestly, it’s been a game changer. Instead of jumping between apps or copying info manually, it’s all just one quick action. It feels small, but when you’re doing it multiple times a day, the time saved really adds up.
Cons:
I haven't really found any issues with this so far, it's been fairly seamless using it. My only gripe would be when the flow doesn't work randomly, which to be fair is barely any of the time, the error messages can be a bit vague. Honestly, when it doesn't work, normally sending the flow again just works!

Power Automate - Fast For Simple Tasks

4

I used Power Automate to deploy workflow automations in SharePoint and as well as to facilitate integrations. The built-in connectors made it extremely easy to deploy working flows, but scaling out took more effort to optimize. In addition, once the workflows got more complicated, it became more difficult to debug and deal with complex flows.

Pros:
The best part of Power Automate is the low code integration and visualization, making it easy for people who do not have much development experience and allow for fast time to value. This makes it easy to connect to different Microsoft products using connectors. In addition, it allows for the automation of business processes via schedules or event triggers.
Cons:
The performance of Power Automate can be irregular, with execution time of the same flow varying wildly. It works well for smaller data sets and tasks, but can become cumbersome when dealing with larger data sets. Finally, it's difficult to debug if something has gone wrong.

Efficient Workflow Automation in the O365 Ecosystem with Power Automate.

5

My experience with Power Automate has been largely positive. It’s a versatile and powerful tool for automating a wide range of tasks within the O365 ecosystem, allowing teams to save time and reduce errors in repetitive processes. While there is a learning curve for more advanced features, the platform’s ability to streamline workflows and enhance productivity makes it a valuable asset for organizations leveraging Microsoft’s ecosystem.

Pros:
What I liked most about Microsoft Power Automate is how seamlessly it integrates with the entire Office 365 ecosystem, making it easy to automate repetitive tasks and workflows across Microsoft applications, from Outlook to SharePoint. The platform offers a vast library of pre-built templates and connectors that simplify automating even complex processes without heavy coding. Additionally, its intuitive, drag-and-drop interface enables users with minimal technical experience to create effective automations quickly, which improves productivity and reduces manual work.
Cons:
One drawback of Power Automate is that more advanced workflows may require knowledge of expressions or PowerShell, which can be a barrier for non-technical users. Additionally, complex flows can sometimes experience latency or encounter errors, especially when triggered by high volumes of data or frequent actions. Managing and troubleshooting these errors can take time, as logs and error messages aren’t always straightforward.
