About ActivityHero

SuperHero is a cloud-based camp management solution that offers an online marketplace for camp owners, camper registration, scheduling, attendance and billing functionalities within a suite. It caters to day camps, overnight camps and after-school classes.

SuperHero features an online marketplace, where camp providers can list their services. Customers can select from a list of available camps based on filters such as camp duration, location and activities. The product also allows customers to make online payments on the checkout page.

SuperHero features promotional campaign tools, which allow users to create and distribute discount coupons and vouchers on the marketplace. If a class or activity is filled, users can also create waitlists for potential customers. Camp attendance lists can be filled out online or exported to the printer.

SuperHero features configurable reporting tools and dashboards, which help users prepare reports on business data such as registrations, payments and attendance.

Pros:

The platform has been easy to use for myself and other employees. We have used Activity Hero for more than 6 years and will continue using. AH is very helpful and provide immediate support whenever I have a question

Cons:

Everything has been good, no cons. The only thing I could think of may be, there are some other features I am not familiar with using. But happy with what we use it for with online registration and payment

Best Customer Service Ever!

Overall, I think working with Activity Hero has been a great experience. They are incredibly responsive and quick to help with any concerns or problems that arise. Ultimately for me, the issues have been few and far between - and anything that might've been a bigger problem for us was solved by the incredible support rep we have (shout out to [SENSITIVE CONTENT] !).

Pros:

Activity Hero is fairly easy to use and understand once you start with it - but I want to emphasize just how helpful the customer service aspect has been with Activity Hero. We have our own individually assigned representative who we can reach out to whenever we have questions or concerns. Our rep has been fantastic. She is quick to respond, goes above and beyond to offer help, and is so wonderful to interact with. I know that if I ever have any issues I can reach out to our Rep and she is on it. I am so grateful for the personalized care and attention that we receive!

Cons:

One of my old cons would have been not having any sort of check-in feature - but AH has taken this in stride and recently created this as part of their software. I think one issue I have found a few times is that the parent who registers their child for camp or program is sometimes erased from that camper's profile - and the secondary parent is the only one who appears. I think it would also be neat if there was an option to print ONLY the approved pick-up list names.

Reasons for choosing ActivityHero

I was not involved in the decision making process but I believe we went with AH because more local camps used it than the competitor, and the cost was more manageable .

Easy to use for Camp Sales!

Great! It’s easy to publish holiday camps and classes. I like how easy it is to view registrations and gather enrollment information.

It’s easy to use and beginner friendly. It’s fairly easy to publish camps and classes using this sales platform.

Cons:

The percentage it takes from sales is a bit high but similar to other platforms. I think there is a tiny bit of the publishing process that could be improved.

This software has many features, and I have not explored them all. The ones I use include Registration, Session Management and Payment Reports. Registration is a good feature, with automatic inclusion of Waivers for photo permission and risk acknowledgement.

Cons:

In Registration, there is too much redundant information, such as the entire location, each and every day with times listed, ages accepted, etc. This creates much text for each participant, and can clutter the screen. Also, naming sessions is a bit clunky. It's a bit unclear what will appear under which heading, and I often have to "publish" and then edit, as I have not figured out how to view before publishing.

You would see the session information repeated if the report is generated for more than one session, but if you filter down to one session/week, it will eliminate that column from the report. Effective Solution for Day Camp Registration

ActivityHero provides a terrific platform for processing day camp enrollments and managing registrations during the day-to-day operations.

ActivityHero was developed from the ground up by a team with exceptional familiarity with day camp operations. We had worked with ActivityHero ten years ago when their product was purely a camp listing service, and were among their launch clients for implementation of online enrollment functionality. We selected ActivityHero from three competing platforms primarily due to the seamless functionality of the platform. Other solutions we looked at were originally developed for activities other than day camp registration and enrollment management, and it showed. The ActivityHero team has always been responsive to our requests for changes, and over the years has faded into the background in the best possible way as it simply exists as an integral part of our day camp operation through every part of the season.

Cons:

Implementing tracking codes to enable online promotional campaigns to follow prospects through to the point of registration has been a bit of a process in the past.

ActivityHero's team does such an exemplary job with getting our summer camp organized and setup for the season and I just can’t say enough to thank and convey my appreciation for what they have helped us do. I’m really blown away by such quality commitment and want to say thank you for having the best possible customer service team and registration service. We’re amazed by how much new business comes from ActivityHero's marketing efforts. ActivityHero's email newsletters are key to new customers acquisition, and it's built into the system (no extra work!). Highly recommend their quality services.

I love ActivityHero's enrollment integration with class promotions. This has become a one stop shop for me since I started using this software. It takes care of sales and marketing, email campaigns, parent communications, payment engine, enrollment platform, reporting and analytics and great customer support. The adoption of this tool help me focus on my core business operations. The customer support is super helpful and prompt. I would recommend this software to anyone looking to take out mundane tasks from you daily business operations. ActivityHero Rocks !!

ActivityHero is the Best!

My camp revenue grew 3x last year. The team at ActivityHero helps me figure out the best dates to run camp, and parents think it's easy to use. I'm so glad I started using ActivityHero two years ago. It gives me all the reports and email tools I need to run my camp, plus the ActivityHero website gets me new customers. ActivityHero makes my job easier so I can spend more time doing what I love, being out with the camp kids. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to grow their business.
