About FindMolecule

FindMolecule is a laboratory information management system designed to help chemical laboratories handle inventory, orders, data security, projects and more on a unified platform. Biologists can track hazardous chemicals, share experiments with team members and scan barcodes to change locations, statuses, users and other information.

FindMolecule secures data using Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2, firewalls, encryption, backups and audit trails. Managers can create projects, collaborate with team members and access laboratory information from within a web-based platform. Additionally, biologists can utilize the search functionality to retrieve required data about molecules or experiments from the inventory.

FindMolecule enables chemists to manage groups and configure access permissions for each user. The product is available for free or on a subscription basis and support is extended via live chat, FAQs and other online measures.

Saved my lab

After years of research having troubles with many labs without proper inventory systems, when I started my independent career I looked for a proper software for inventory management of chemicals. FindMolecule saved my life and the lifes of my students. Extremely easy to insert new molecules, automatically finds safety informations, which is crucial for the safety of the entire lab.

Cons:

Sometimes the experiments are not showing properly on browser, but a single refresh page solves the problem. Besides, the inventory management functionality had some CAS inconsistencies.

Making the transition from paper laboratory notebook to electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) can be overwhelming. The ELN designed by FindMolecule makes the transition painless, as it closely ressemble what a typical experimental chemist would enter in a lab book. It is so easy to rapidly modify quantities, with automatic adjustments to other reagents. The interface greatly accelerates the design of new experiments

Cons:

Some people may find the fact that it is cloud-based an issue, as data is not saved internally on-site. They do assure however state-of-the-art encryption and protection of the user data.

Secure electronic data management system for health and safety of the large organizations

Pros:

Easy to use. Very intuitive. Affordable compared to other similar alternatives. Include chemical inventory as well. Customer service is excellent. Every time there is an issue, we contact them and they get back to us very quickly.

Cons:

As with all the electronic notebooks software, it is still not perfect but there are regular updates to make sure it improves all the time. We haven't had any major issues with it for the last several years.
