About FACTS

FACTS is a school management system that helps administrators streamline processes related to student enrollment, attendance tracking and course management. The student information system (SIS) enables teachers to generate report cards, track medical information, monitor student behavior, maintain family information and distribute transcripts on a centralized platform.

FACTS learning management system (LMS) allows educators to use blended learning and current teaching methodologies to build, distribute and track student progress across courses and critical thinking projects. The FACTS family portal lets parents access student assignments, project due dates, lesson plans and grades. Supervisors can generate year or term based reports to gain insights into transcripts, course listings and class rosters. Additionally, the emergency alert module lets administrators send in-app, SMS, and email alerts to parents, faculty, and students.

FACTS facilitates integration with several third-party solutions, PaymyTution, Gradelink, Moodle and Canvas. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via FAQs, documentation and email.

FACTS - great for paying schools

Overall I am very happy that I am able to just log onto my computer and pay my son's student loan debt.

Hi, I like that there is a system in place to be able to pay my sons student loans in an efficient manner.

Cons:

It was not the easiest site to navigate at first. There are lots of options and as a delegate payer, it was confusing.

Bang for the Buck

It's good if you can teach yourself how to learn, don't expect. much help from account manager or customer service portal.

Pros:

Value for money. I like that it has several features such as communication, gradebook, sis, etc.....

Cons:

The customer service is not the greatest. Luck out if you get someone polite and helpful. Otherwise, they just direct you to the learning page. Also, I think it's time to link SIS and Management. They should be working together.

FACTS is great value for our school!

We have had a great experience with FACTS and we use it extensively for all our school needs - SIS, FACTS Financial, FACTS App, website, etc. We also use many of the integration products and love how they work together!

FACTS is very easy to use for all groups - admin, faculty, parents and students! The customer service is excellent - and I love the extended evening hours.

Cons:

I can't say that I have any specific cons because anytime I have a question or concern, it is promptly addressed!

Horrible for teachers.

Setting up the grade book is a tedious task, and it has to be done over and over. Grading is mouse-heavy and miserable. It's only better than a paper grade book. I would choose my own spreadsheet over this rubbish. I hope it's better for the administrators/decision-makers.

Pros:

FACTS allows the school to use one system for management. That has to be good for the administration. It calculates grades.

Cons:

I've used this software for ten years, and teacher experience is absolutely horrible. You must visit several screens and mouse around to add assignments or grades/comments. And after all that work, you can't copy assignments or even categories year to year, so each year you must spend hours recreating your grade book, even though only the dates need to be changed. Miserable. And they don't seem to even think about user experience. Case in point, they just changed the login page so that you must visit TWO pages to log in rather than one.

Just the FACTS!

Overall, FACTS has given us everything we asked for - except the ability to schedule emails to go out. We can schedule text messages, but not emails????

Pros:

The content and learning throughout the process are second to none. Customer support, whether live or via a bot, is always helpful.

Cons:

Response time (especially for my colleagues) seemed longer than it should. Especially since we are a new client, you would think FACTS would want to ensure we have what we need more quickly.

Decent SIS for small schools

I have been a teacher at two different schools using FACTS for SIS/gradebook, email communications management, enrollment, and tuition management. I also was a parent at a school using FACTS for lunch. Both schools experienced minor issues but were happy with FACTS compared to alternative options that exist.

Pros:

As a teacher, I liked that I could find everything that I needed. It made it easy to send emails (with reporting/tracking - I could prove when I sent an email and to whom I sent it), download rosters and other reports (like a birthday list, which I used to make sure every student turning 18 got their birthday present - a copy of their state's voter registration form), and manage grading. Customer support was accessible both to my site admin and to me as a teacher.

Cons:

It seemed like there were often issues & quirks that my site admin had to work out or that I had to work out as a teacher. The gradebook had to be set up JUST RIGHT or your grades would break something. If a student got switched to a different section of a course, I usually had to manually transfer their grades. I don't know if these issues were user error on my site admin's part or errors within the app, but it wasn't as straightforward as it should be or as flexible as a small private school needs.

FACTS SIS Great Customer Service

Customer service and support are great! Anytime I have a question they are quick to answer. I like that FACTS is all-inclusive with everything in one place.

Cons:

There are sometimes bugs that need to be worked out with users getting error messages. Several updates/changes which is a good thing but can also be a new learning curve.

I absolutely love FACTS! It is so easy as a teacher to take attendance, contact my students' families, add grades, and do my classroom planning all in one place! I have had nothing but the best customer service anytime I have been stuck and needed a little help. What a great product.

Cons:

It took a little getting used to, but thankfully the FAQ area was super helpful. Adding grades for the first time takes a bit of time.

Easy to use, value for money in all parts, user friendly, quick responses, course management is easy to use, the bugs and issues get fixed fast.

Cons:

Having no access to help parents with their login information is hard. We used to be able to but after the 2 step authentication we not longer can.

Pros:

I love how easy it is to send out communication to families, staff, students and parents. I also love the student information management system and how user friendly it is. The platform really helps me easily provide information in an effective and efficient way.

Cons:

I do not love that I get a ton of emails after sending out a newsletter that they were not delivered because someone was out of town or out of office. It did not always do that, but in the last year or so it has become a new thing.
