    OmniStar Research Journey at UQ

    We are rolling out OmniStar Research to replace a legacy system and allow greater transparency and visibility for researchers and the research community of their funding application. Allowing local faculties and schools access to early funding data will enable them to proactively support the research endeavour.

    Pros:
    The key feature of OmniStar is the available 'building block' functions that can be customised for each client. This flexibility keeps the core product and allows it to extend to meet differing client needs.
    Cons:
    The inability to customise the 'Tiles' is something that should be considered in future product releases. Also ensure product documentation is kept up-to-date with the product.
