Harmony Email & Collaboration (formerly Harmony Email & Office) is a cloud-based software designed to help businesses using Microsoft 365 and G Suite prevent potential malware attacks through emails. Professionals can configure access permissions, define custom policies and prevent credential theft via agentless multi-factor authentication.

Harmony Email & Collaboration provides a dashboard, which allows organizations to monitor identified threats via actionable analytics and generate administrative reports. Managers can automatically block unauthorized logins and ensure compliance with the data leak prevention (DLP) policy. Additionally, it lets users identify and limit the exchange of sensitive information via emails and other productivity applications.

Harmony Email & Collaboration scans all inbound and outbound emails to determine suspicious attachments, links and metadata. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via documentation, email, phone and other online measures.

It was easy to license and implement, email security improved considerably and security enforcement is now better.

Pros:

Easy to use, quick deployment and is part of the harmony ecosystem and by integrating the other solutions you have more complete protection within your architecture

Cons:

I think it can improve in the creation of filters since for now it does not allow creating filters with fields from the email header

Securing Emails with Checkpoint HEC like a Pro.

Checkpoint Harmony Email Security is Deployed inline after O365 for scanning malicious attachments, phishing mails, etc. Which scans mails and send cleaned mails to end users. Also Sandboxing is done for detecting zero day attacks. Below are the few use cases: 1. Identifying and stop Zero Day attacks. 2. Identify malicious attachment in email 3. Protect from Advanced phishing mails, Impersonation mails etc 4. Scan Incoming and outgoing emails along with Internal mails. 5. Ability to scan password protected attachments. 6. Ability to scan for hidden links inside attachments, also scanning for QR to identify malicious URLS. 7. AI based behavioural analysis. Scope- Integration with MS O365 and SAAS applications. Along with email security , Data loss prevention also implemented with checkpoint HEC. It definitely helped to reduction in phishing mails. It helped to stop malicious mails to user therefore user can safely access emails without any worries. This saved time which may utilised for any business disruptions or investigations. However i havnt seen any downtime so far. So organisation is eventually growing.

Scanning Password protected attachments Sandboxing - Detecting Zero day attacks without delaying emails User level control for quarantined mails - with and without Admin permission. Protect from Advanced phishing mails, Impersonation mails etc. Scan Incoming and outgoing emails along with Internal mails. Ability to scan password protected attachments. Ability to scan for hidden links inside attachments, also scanning for QR to identify malicious URLS.

Cons:

Checkpoint Harmony is best suited for those who are having MS O365 for emails. It integrates seamlessly with O365. In few clicks integration can be done. Same with Gmail. You can go with HEC. Those who have other email service providers for them HEC is not supported.

Reasons for switching to Harmony Email & Collaboration

HEC have Sandboxing capabilities to detect for zero day attack. That takes rarely 1 or 2 seconds to scan the emails. HEC comes with AI based behavioural analysis. Which is most advanced. Also HEC Nicely integrate with collaboration apps like one drive,etc. which is beyond email security.
