A Helpful Tool for Finding and Bidding on Construction Projects

Overall, my experience with PlanHub is positive. It makes it easier to find construction projects and submit bids. The platform is user-friendly and offers helpful tools for managing leads. While there are a few areas for improvement, it’s a solid source for growing a contractor business.

PlanHub is easy to use and has a clean, organized website. I like how quickly I can find and bid on projects that match my trade and location. The notifications keep me updated on new opportunities. It saved me time compared to searching for leads manually.

Cons:

Some project details can be vague or miss key information. I also found that some leads weren’t very active or responsive. It should have better filters to narrow down the most relevant jobs.

The ease of use and ease of submitting a bid to multiple general contractors saves me a lot of time and allows me to streamline the bid submittal process

Cons:

I would like for new files to be found in a separate location to make them easier to locate. Or, if the files could be sorted by date.

Reasons for switching to PlanHub

Planhub was much more user friendly and I did not like the takeoff feature of Construct Connect

Great for networking if you have patience.

Great for finding more work and new customers as an estimator. Has definitely paid for itself in new work found, but I find everything else about the service poorly executed.

Cons:

A slow and clunky user interface that I avoid as soon as I build a relationship with the contractor.

PlanHub is a great tool to learn about current/upcoming projects in our subscription region. We are also using the takeoff features with the program and are getting good feedback from our team.

The platform brought a few of our projects to a much wider range of subcontractors and help bring in new subs for future projects. The learning curve for the software was minimal and very user friendly.

Cons:

Not too happy about mobile access to the projects. Moving between sections is not very user friendly. This feature needs to be looked at.

Plan Hub is the Best

10/10 recommend to any sub trying to expand their business and get their name out there. Very easy to communicate with GC's

Pros:

Easy bidding, and access to take off anywhere, on my iPad, laptop, PC anywhere compared to Onscreen it wont let you use IOS or Mac, but plan hub does.

Cons:

take off is different compared to onscreen take off which is what I use on my old computer and I use plan hubs take off when I'm on my laptop.

Great for getting your name out there.

Mostly positive and it definitely gave me work when I was starting out and needing to find jobs, especially with contractors that aren't local but are bidding local jobs.

The ability to find contractors from out of the area that that are bidding on local projects is the biggest advantage for me.

Cons:

The extremely pushy sales guy I initially talked to after the trial was over, he was almost responsible for me not continuing with Planhub

We use it only for finding jobs to bid on. Too many messages coming in for adding the pay for products we are not going to use.

It has helped us make some contacts. I enjoyed the meet and greet. I like that the site gives the builder contact info and the date bid is due and the message part not that most answer back when asked questions or follow ups.

Cons:

We have programs and software for many other things. quite a few to many e-mails for added pay for play products.

Overall we won 2 projects using plan hub and have got on countless bid list. It has been awesome and cant wait to see what the next year will bring.

I like the amount of projects that you can view and also that we can reach out to the GC's to create your own destiny in the construction space and also build new relationships.

Cons:

The thing I like the least is some GC's aren't as responsive to figure out if they recieved your bid or not. Also some project updates arrive a little late for bidding.

I like most about PlanHub is Estimating for our projects. Some users feel subscription fees can be high for smaller businesses.

Cons:

Very few features in free subscription. some users find navigation unintuitive. Smaller contractors sometimes feel overshadowed by larger firms.
