This is a great tool to automate recognistions for service awards and birthdays and provides lots of customization for other Peer to Peer recognition programs.
Cons:
There is very little I like least. I wish there was more communication from our rep on what is on the roadmap.

This is also great as a budgeting tool; you will know the cost when issuing the reward. For accounting purposes it is a single entry.

Definitely the ease of use as we have many remote employees. Also employees can choose a gift they really want, rather than the best option from a set list.
Cons:
Nothing really. You might say it is impersonal as it is sent electronically. However, all other factors greatly outweigh this one charactistic.

Cashouts not working. Awful experience with support.

Awarding others with monetary compensation based on work done. Getting rewards based on the work I've done.
Cons:
The redemption process has failed for me on two separate occasions, with support taking 20/30+ (ongoing) days. First instance of failed remeption happened before the christmas break where after cashing in a gift card for a store through awardco, I didn't receive the gift card and heard nothing for 20 days. After this time passed, awardco support messaged saying that the company who I got the card with was no longer doing awardco cards. Got a refund, but it still took 20 days. Second instance was when I cashed out over 100 USD of visa prepaid cards before leaving the company. Awardco sent confirmation emails and links to activate the cards before I left. These cards failed to activate, requiring a login through the company I worked with (which I didn't have). After contacting support, 9 days later I received replacement cards which failed with an "apologies we have encountered an error on our side". Still resolving this case. It's been 30+ days since starting this mess. Support have been so far unable to resolve this and I still haven't received my card. Utterly abominable results from a company whose only job is to provide gift cards... I'm unsure if getting users to give up on redeeming their codes is baked into their business model. Honestly unsured if this company is genuine or not. Do not recommend.

There is great ease of use with Awardco, making it easy to submit recognition and to redeem points for merchandise or gift cards. Things are very straightforward and it makes for a good recognition system.
Cons:
I’d like if there were an easy option to supplement points with our own cash. Because if the thing an employee wants costs 20 points but they’ve only earned 10, it would be great to be able to pay for it partially in points and partially via a credit card. Also, it would be great if certain items could be on “sale” (ex.: maybe 10 points = $10 for an Amazon gift card, but maybe for other brands or products, 10 points would be worth $12, making it more appealing to get one product or gift card over another).

Giving Employees a Choice in Redemption for Recognition

Awardco was easy from day one. From customizing our programs, to easy notifications for employees and even managers, this system has allowed our employees to recognize each other, for leaders to recognize employees, and allow employees to choose how they redeem "points." Giving employees a choice in rewards is key to the success and our employees love it!

Awardco is such an easy way to recognize employees and our employees love to be able to redeem their points easily for so many different things.
Cons:
The only things we would want on our wishlist is an easier way to have a recognition feed embedded in our intranet and also a way for our external clients to be able to recognize our employees easily.

We wanted something more interactive that could take care of all the back-end management of reward redemption for us, offering our employees choice in how they redeem their points.

Awardco offers a physical or virtual spend rewards card. This is the first software I have used that had a physical card, my employees enjoyed this. Another great feature is Awardco partners with Amazon. My employees absolutely loved this because they could truly select a reward they would use and enjoy.
Cons:
There is nothing negative to say at this time. The software has been great.

Reasons for switching to Awardco

I made the switch from Tango because AwardCo is a bit more personalized. Based on feedback from employees, the ability to select rewards from Amazon is fantastic.
