Excellent versatile solution

Activating the account was simple. The hard work was down to us to consolidate and organise our offering and the map our the configurations. We then chose to configure our own forms and this meant that some time had to be invested in training. Training was excellent although we could also have opted for the configurations to be handled by Solenoid. So far, no problems with Solenoid which also implemented our ERP software. Very fast to react, good understanding of our company and able to handle our requests.

Pros:

The desired results from Qotbild are as expected, in that our complex products are configured correctly, cost and prices are automated and quotations are generated. The system integrates seamlessly with our ERP system, EXACT. The additional benefit of Qotbild comes from the fact that we can configure our own configurations, which means we can set up new products/services and maintain and update our existing offers. This means that we have the control in the sense of keeping integrity in our offering, but also the control over how we change and advance our offering. As QotBild gives us new market insights, we will be able to adjust our "settings" and increase our ranges to ensure we meet the needs of the market. The price of this kit is inexpensive, we were pleasantly surprised that this is available to SMEs at the low cost. The product features have improved in the time we have had the product. We have not experienced any significant problems with the running or integration.

Cons:

Having had a taste of what is available through CQP Software, our team are now asking for more and more features. Some of these are unavailable at the moment which in the first instance feels limiting. The resolve for the missing features generally falls into one of three categories. a) The requirement could be developed specifically for us, at our cost - if the request is company/industry specific. b) The requirement can be added to the development program and will be released without cost to us as it will become a generic feature c) An alternate solution already exists within the scope of Qotbild and we need educating on how to execute it. The software feels bespoke because of the highly configurable nature. This sometimes lures us into forgetting that we must operate within the configurable features. The software is still evolving quickly, with new features being released regularly so hopefully any future requirements will be covered and new features may generate more opportunity for us.

Reasons for choosing Qotbild

We initially developed our own bespoke system in the first instance. Although this was expensive and effective, the ability to expand was limited, mainly due to the cost of the continued software development. We could not expand without significant investment. We also we had less control over the configurations of bespoke software. as a comparison Qotbild is very cost effective, in our control, highly flexible and will get better over time.
