About Anaplan

Anaplan is a cloud-based business-planning tool designed for sales, finance, and operations units of an organization. The solution is based on hyperblock technology, the system that provides a single modeling environment for the organization with the ability to work on large models.

Anaplan includes a built-in application platform that allows an organization to quickly build or modify their planning applications. Its App Hub offers pre-built applications for sales, operations, finance, and human resources along with a custom app module to modify these apps per organizational needs.

Anaplan creates a collaboration hub for cross-functional planning to enable distributed expertise for corporate planning, delivering both top-down and bottom-up alignments. The feature includes multi-dimensional planning based on hierarchies, relationship, time, real-time modeling and calculation, central data repository and application cataloging.

Anaplan sales premium cloud computing software

The best thing about Anaplan software is that it offers multiple services to the larger establishment to develop the features according to their needs. So, this tool provides immediate and hassle-free results. Even though, you can design a whole model within a few hours using this software.

Pros:

First and foremost, this software is very easy to understand and it is exciting to work on excel using this system. So, the drill-down property makes it easy to troubleshoot the errors while operating functions. In addition to this, Anaplan sales also offer the “fat fingering” key to remove the data easily. It is easy to integrate with other systems and build the best product development team for users.

Cons:

Anaplan is a good tool to work with but it has some limitations which make it less demanding. This software doesn't go well with the high integration functions and doesn't offer a wide range of event workflows. Moreover, even at high granularity, this tool doesn't facilitate good report analytical services.

Better than PowerBI

easy to use platform that keeps up to date on our reporting that integrates with our single sign on well

takes some getting use to on how to navigate through the different tabs but once you learn it, its user friendly

Anaplan can manage large data but lacks the new bells and whistles

Anaplan was a necessary evil but I did not enjoy the complexities of uploading data sets into the tool.

Anaplan has the ability to support a very large data set for an enterprise level organization with multiple users

Cons:

The code base is hard to master, making uploading changes into Anaplan difficult and time consuming. Other products have allowed for more direct input into the tool itself without code.

I like the intuitive design of the dashboard and the timeliness of the updates. I can count on Anaplan being consistent and accurate.

Cons:

The dropdown menus took a while to master/commit to memory but, now that I've done that, I can quickly navigate through the tools.

Anaplan is a very complete and robust tool that lets us access all relevant financial information about our accounts.

Cons:

The user interface is not very user-friendly. It's a very IT-style interface. We can't give access to our ICs because the interface is too complex

Cloud based planning tool to run business team and plan/achieve the goals . The data modeling made easy with Anaplan . The inbuilt calculation engine works incredibly well.

Pros:

Before Anaplan, we were on excel documents that required many versions and iterations. We started with financial planning as a model and have since expanded into other solutions for issues that have arisen. The goal is to continue to plug new models into this tool, like many power users I've seen at Anaplan conferences, in order to get all of our data on one platform.

Cons:

Initial set up requires a lot of learning and time. Their training session is several days and still requires additional follow up work and communication with their implementation team. Graphs and data visualization is also far lacking compared with Tableau or even Excel.
