About Telegram

Telegram is an open-source desktop and mobile messaging app that provides businesses with reliable messaging by utilizing end-to-end encryption and self-destruct message capabilities. Telegram allows businesses to customize their own client interface or create additional tools with Telegram's free open API, Bot API and TDLib.Telegram includes 1-1 and group messaging, file and image sharing, end-to-end encryption, self-destructing messages, and many more.

With Telegram, users can choose whether to have just 1-1 conversations or group conversations with up to 200,000 other users. Since Telegram's servers are spread worldwide, messages can securely be sent to other users within a matter of seconds. Users can also store and send media files and documents of any size using Telegram's document storage and file sharing. Telegram syncs messages across multiple devices so users can utilize the desktop or mobile when it's necessary. For security issues, users can choose to self-destruct messages using a built-in timer.

Telegram is available for mobile devices via an iOS and Android app.

One of the best messaging app in the market

My experience with telegram has been mostly great. It allows me to share and receive large files, keep my activity private and also offers cloud sync. I use it mostly for my personal use, but sometimes also official where it helps in sharing important documents with colleagues.

Pros:

Best thing about it is that it accepts large file sizes, which some other messaging applications does not have.

Cons:

Customer support as not as good as compared to other similar apps

Switching to telegram the prefect solution for prayer meetings.

So far I have taken a liking to this app, my experience is great and i dont have any complains so far it works well on low quality internet too.

Pros:

Telegram is an excellent messaging app compared to many others. It doesn’t require a Gmail account for storage, and you can switch between devices without worrying about backups—your information stays intact. With strong privacy features, including secret chats, Telegram is great for those who value security. Another major advantage is the ability to send and open large files without any complications. Additionally, Telegram is ideal for hosting large online meetings, which makes it the perfect platform for prayer meetings and Bible studies. Many people have expressed interest in joining, but most apps have limitations on group size. That's why I’m recommending Telegram to my pastor as a better option for our community.

Cons:

Telelgram isnt widely used as i would like it to be, you tend to find more people using other calling and messaging apps but overall its a great app to use.

When it comes to group calls it can allow you to add and invite more people.

Telegram in 2025: Pros, Cons, and Overall User Experience

I really enjoy using telegram, and it's the application I use most in my phone. I use for news, chat with friends, and a lot more. Telegram premium is worth the money, I get a lot of new features which is really really nice. Overall telegram is my.go to app for anything social and communication.

Privacy and security comes first of course. The UI is great and sharing files is awesome in telegram. Lot's of channels to join. Haven't come across any bugs or issue.

Cons:

Though I enjoy the many features provided by telegram, but at times it gets overwhelming. And I'd like to be able to find different based on my.interest, I can only join channel telegram let's me see when I search, which is not very good. Sometimes my app lags too. Sometimes my account gets blocked from sending messages to new friends I make online, then I've to text customer support to help me get it fixed. The bot spamming and fake accounts is something that needs working on, cause when I'm in groups chatting with friends, I see a lot of spam messages. Lastly telegram is hub for fake news and misinformation, so I'd advice anyone to be careful

The thing I liked the most about telegram was its strong focus on private and security as it offers ene to end encryption. I am able to send huge files easily to my friends and colleagues.

Cons:

I didn't liked the notification system of telegram , because it failed to notify me of some important messages. Some features are a bit hard to understand for new users .

Telegram has better security than its alternatives like whatsapp . Its also more customizable and has better features than whatsapp.

Backup app

I’m not that familiar to use telegraph app a lot like whatsapp, in the end I prefer WhatsApp but for telegraph is just a backup app to find something I’m searching for or in a case I got à problems with WhatsApp application I switch to Telegram

- I believe that the groups are the most things valuable for me in telegram, everything I’m looking is there in groups, personal for my needs or for job requirements

Pros:

The most important thing is that it automatically has its own bitcoin wallet when installing... it's a good feature because you can remove an image from the site in a message to whom you send it, and completely remove it so that the other user doesn't keep it.

Cons:

Well, the fact that it automatically returns the directory already deleted... so I delete the directory and after the pin connection, it returns the same directory

Because of better functions and also because images and medical content can be removed

Highly recommend!

Adding new employees, video chatting, calling, messaging, sharing and storing files and documents is a breeze on Telegram. It played a huge role in launching our department several years back and many of us still use TG for personal and business needs. Highly recommended!!

Telegram is where our Businesses Development Division began years ago. Wonderful platform to create channels for different purposes and individual chats with video and call features. Project Management, Messaging, Easy to use, Cost, all made TG a perfect choice for us.

The format is different, but also very simple to use and over time it became a favorite, especially for those who were not technically familiar with things like this.

Pros:

It's free to use, never had a need for customer support. It's very simple and fun to use with many options for expressing oneself through messaging. Great for professional team communication because it's encrypted.. Never encountered any bugs or issues. Great for assigning tasks and productivity.

Cons:

Mostly just that random people are always adding you and spamming you, but it's easy to flag and report and delete.

I like it very much
