About Coginiti

Coginiti is an SQL analysis solution that helps organizations connect and manage various databases to collect, clean, transform and analyze business data. It enables data engineers and business analysts to design and maintain data warehouses, create data models, write queries across multiple data platforms and store analytical data in custom catalogs.

It offers a host of features such as productivity tracking, collaboration, SSL security, data synchronization and more. Coginiti allows administrators to organize SQL catalogs by data granularity, database connection or projects. Additionally, managers can use the application to provide access control and permissions to authorized users to view and modify SQL statements.

Coginiti facilitates integration with various third-party platforms such as Apache Hive, VMWare, Tableau, Amazon Redshift, Aurora, PostgreSQL and more via APIs. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via phone, email, documentation and online videos.

Aginity for Hadoop for Bigdata Processing

We are using Aginity not only for Query processing but also for the Data Analytics, Data Science Modeling. It is used by developers, QA, Architect which is a single window for data processing

Pros:

Aginity is easy for Installation and an excellent tool for the Analytical Query Processing. We are using Aginity to query both for the Data warehouse solutions(Netezza) and Big Data solutions(Hadoop). For students they are providing free license. Explain plan graph which helps us to fine tune the queries.

Cons:

When there is large dataset sometimes we feel difficult to query that table which makes aginity to stuck. Web based solutions can be planned in future.
