Direct Mail vs Mailchimp: Which is best for you?

I've been able to create drip email campaigns and a monthly email newsletter with no problem. And it's great being able to see who's opening and clicking links. If you're starting out with a small mailing list, like me, there's a free plan and a 'pay-per-email' plan, which can save money over paying monthly to some web-based systems, regardless of how large your list is. And it's nice having a native Mac app that's intuitive and I can use anywhere, even without an internet connection.

Had to switch to another OS unfortunate, more than one PC was not an option.

For agencies, they forced that the pre-paid credits expire in a year, and the list plans aren't worth the money unless you send a lot of frequent mails. If you send campaings from time to time to different customers, unless your volume is huge, fees make it unpayable. If you are an end user, then the story is different and prices will make more sense (maybe that's their idea of customers right now).
