About Eventsquid

Eventsquid is cloud-based event management solution for small, midsize and large businesses that caters to corporations, sports leagues, educational institutes and other associations. Primary features include event registration, website and mobile-app creation, attendee communication, speaker management, document management, reporting and analytics.

Eventsquid allows users to create a personalized event website. Users can include a flexible registration portal on websites. Teams can create different registration forms that include custom prompts, payment methods, payment gateways, messaging and other options. Users can check-in attendees from attendees’ badges, mobile devices, printed vouchers or a self-service kiosk. Other features include sales management, surveys, volunteer sign-up, digital tickets and roster management.

It is compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac. Android and iOS mobile applications are also offered. It offers support via a case submission, FAQs and help topics.

Powerful features but the interface is cluttered

Powerful software but not the most intuitive. Once you learn where everything is, it's fast. But the learning curve for a new admin is steep. It’s definitely better than Cvent for the price point.

It handles everything in one place: ticketing, agenda, and mobile app. I like the "clone event" feature; it saves me time when setting up recurring meetings for our corporate clients.

Cons:

The backend dashboard is very crowded. There are too many buttons and options on one screen, which intimidates new users. I spend a lot of time guiding my colleagues on where to find basic settings.

Reasons for switching to Eventsquid

Cvent was becoming too expensive for our volume of smaller events. We wanted a platform with flat pricing (unlimited events) rather than paying per registrant. We needed to cut costs without losing the ability to build complex registration forms.

Eventsquid is a great choice for many reasons

In 2021 we needed to find a new registration system to use for different conferences we work on since Cvent was no longer a good choice. From the sales calls getting to know Eventsquid to the training on how to use the system and then tech support for each conference/year, it has been amazing. A great team to work with.

I like many things about Eventsquid but what I like most is the reporting features. This is lacking in many other registration/survey systems.

Cons:

There is no live chat or phone number to call for immediate assistance. Good news is that tech support always responds withing a few hours (during business hours).

The [sensitive content hidden] of Eventsquid took the time to have multiple calls with us to answer all our questions and made sure we were comfortable with the change. The cost and their willingness to work with us on our specific billing needs was the other selling point.

Great features and functionality, issues with user-compatibility

It helped with several essential event functions, like registration and payment processing, and helped make things easier. However, non-user-friendly functions made things more difficult for us, as we had to help guests register and make payments over the phone. All in all, it's affordable and worth the money, but improvements are needed.

It performs a lot of functions, from registering guests to processing payments to sending out event surveys.

Cons:

It's not very user-friendly, especially for people who are not internet savvy. I had to help most of our guests register for the event because the registration process was too complicated (having to make a profile for every attendee, even guests of our main attendees, made things difficult. People simply wanted to register guests without providing their names, addresses, etc.).

Hi Amberlee, I'm sorry to hear that you had to help your guests register because your form asked for name, address, etc. I looked at your event setup and it appears that instead of setting up your fundraiser as a simple event, you copied a sport shooting event (more complex setup) and left the guest setup in place. You, of course, can eliminate any or all fields from the guest registration form or any other form. In addition, our "Plus-X" guest method (which you opted not to use) allows the principal registrant to simply add the first and last name of the guest(s) they are bringing; no account needed and no need for the guests to register themselves. I also noted that our support team provided several hours of one-on-one training assistance to Ms. Brewer on your team; perhaps she was aware? In any event, we are happy to make corrections to your event setup if you need us to.

I love this software and I love the support I receive from Eventsquid! Registration is so easy to manage and the simplicity alone is worth every penny!

Cons:

There is nothing Eventsquid doesn't offer to meet my needs. I can't think of anything I need that the software doesn't offer.

Eventsquid required very little customization and we could get up and running fairly quickly. It was straight-forward and easy to navigate, AND I had immediate support from [sensitive content hidden] on our set-up. The initial support won me over!!!!!

Act is more of a database and not a registration software. Everything and everyone needed to be input manually and we just didn't (and still don't) have the resources to do that.

I’ve used Eventsquid for several events, and it’s been a solid platform for managing registrations and streamlining event logistics. The interface is intuitive, which makes it easy to set up events quickly without a steep learning curve. Cons:

I’m still waiting for the continuing education features to be more customizable and user‑friendly. I'd love more options for our sponsors and vendors for signing up and tracking their booth staff.

One of Eventsquid's standout features is its user-friendly interface. The platform is intuitive enough that our team members can navigate it without extensive training. Cons:

registration payment does not align with our Universities requirements. This is an IT issue and not an Eventsquid issue. We had to develop a work around for offline payment

EventSquid has thought of it all.

EventSquid developers know what conference and event organizers need and they created a system that just works. From the many layers of registration items and agendas to contact information collection to vendors, teachers, tours, time slots, name badges, venues, maps, food, really robust reporting capabilities and the list goes on. EventSquid has thought of it all.

It's hard to choose. The EventSquid team is very responsive on the sales end, patient and understanding on the training end, and always fast and helpful on the tech support end. But I think my favorite thing is that EventSquid is pretty intuitive for non-tech people. I find it hard to keep up with technology so was worried it might take me hours and hours to learn to build my conference registration website. But after only a couple hours training with [sensitive content hidden] and then a couple hours on my own, I was able to build my whole registration page and website. I didn't track how long it took me from start to finish, but it was manageable on a 40-hour schedule where I'm juggling lots of other tasks at the same time. Also, it looked and worked great.

Cons:

I thought it was a little confusing setting up additional registrants, but that's probably because it was my first time and there was a learning curve.

EventSquid was more expensive than other systems (not Cvent) but it gave us so much more flexibility and capability to have a multi-faceted registration that lets the user customize their itinerary.

Easy to use and great customer service

The customer service is amazing! I had an issue onsite early in the morning on the day of our event and I called my customer service rep and she quickly talked me through what I needed and the continually checked in with me throughout the rest of the event to make sure everything was working and we had no issues. They are always there to help and so kind!

I’ve been using Eventsquid for several years now to manage my 600-person annual conference, and it continues to exceed my expectations. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, which makes setup and daily management a breeze. I especially appreciate how customizable it is—no matter what unique needs my event has, Eventsquid always has a solution. One of my favorite features is how easy it is to duplicate events year after year. This has streamlined my planning process immensely and saves me countless hours. Overall, Eventsquid has become an essential part of my event workflow, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, flexible, and intuitive event management platform.

Cons:

For our conference, we require attendees to upload a photo to be printed on their event badge. While Eventsquid supports this functionality, the process of downloading the images through the custom URL it generates can still be time-consuming. It definitely works, but it’s not the smoothest workflow yet.
