About SiteCapture

SiteCapture is a mobile and cloud software designed for the solar, real estate, and construction industries to transform operations through innovative and highly user-friendly technology.

It aims to replace organizations' inefficient and unorganized processes that rely on an assortment of clipboards, paper forms, cameras, laptops, cell phones, and email with an enterprise-class, mobile and web application.

The software gives teams a single platform to manage, share, and complete all of their onsite operations including inspections, estimating, work orders, photo capturing, data management, and reporting.

The native mobile applications for iOS (iPhones and iPads) and Android allow field professionals to view, accept and complete work orders and capture data, photos, signatures, GPS coordinates and more.

The secure web-based portal allows office staff to efficiently create, assign, manage, review and report on work orders. Administrators can customize the product to meet their specific needs by configuring forms and workflows, entering customer details, and managing a directory of vendors/sub-contractors and internal users.

I use FotoNotes for my daily works, it saves me a lot of time uploading and submitting pics.

Cons:

Still, there are bugs and unfortunately, there is no zoom on camera

Ease of template build. I like that it can work offline and still capture data

Cons:

I would like an easier copy paste feature for moving pre work pictures to post work inspection template. This would make it much easier and automated to build post work inspections

Pros:

Ease of use, simple UI. I like the fact that we can use it for scheduling, template creating, PDFs etc all in one.

Cons:

I find myself creating workarounds in place of functionality that would be ideal (i.e. more robust conditional fields (if, AND, OR, ELSE statements...etc). It would also be great to be able to change/edit fields in bulk - to avoid making manual updates to many, many fields.

Pros:

The ability to stay organized with multiple users both W2 and contractors all in one spot with regard to surveys both pre and post project installation across 50+ projects monthly along with surveys for each of those projects prior to isntallation.

Cons:

Templates are "go forward" with updates and do not allow updates to active or completed surveys so a hard cut date must be defined and enforced. This is especially challenging when using contractors who may already have had templates set up for work to be completed as they must create new surveys each time there is an update.

Great options for multiple applications

Pros:

We use SiteCapture for several purposes, from site surveys for roofing, solar, batteries, & generators, to funding packages sent to lenders and photos for third party inspections. Our team leads are able to create different templates for our various user and job types in SiteCapture, ensuring the correct photos are taken for each application. We also appreciate the high resolution that's maintained, bulk downloads, and timestamps.

Cons:

The creation of templates is a little confusing, and it could be easier to "deactivate", overwrite or delete old templates that aren't relevant any longer. Also, a quick option to send a new invite email or link to an existing user would be helpful. Currently, if a user loses their login details, we have to go in and manually change their password from the office rather than a more secure link/email sent directly to the user.

It has improved dramatically over the years. It's very simple to use, and the worst thing about it was syncing photos on your phone after not using the app for a few days but they resolved that problem and we run our entire business documentation of projects through sitecapture

Ease of use as ADMIN and as field user on mobile device.

Cons:

requests for updates on relevant changes are too slow. Been user of SC for years with many update requests. Most are very slow or still not available.

Very Efficient Software

I've been utilizing SiteCapture in the last four years with my company and overall the experience has been good. Other than the frustrations of not being able to find entries at times, everything else works smoothly

I enjoy the ability to build out templates so the information required can be added/removed as needed. Also really like the ability to download the entry into a report with all the photos included.

Cons:

Difficulty searching for projects - they do not always come up when searching even just a keyword within the entry - like customer's name (first or last) or the address #
