About Verizon Connect

Verizon Connect is a cloud-based electronic logging device (ELD) and fleet management platform that provides GPS fleet tracking to help businesses gain a 360 overview of all fleet management operations. High-resolution maps with smart clustering help businesses manage fuel costs, provide accurate ETAs, keep tabs on equipment with asset tracking and oversee a mobile workforce with vehicle tracking.

Verizon Connect includes GPS tracking, high-resolution maps, fuel consumption management, asset tracking, customizable dashboards, performance analytics and more features. With integrated fleet tracking, fleet operators can view all drivers on a map and automatically detect driving behavior such as harsh braking, quick starts, hard morning and additional vehicle misuse.

Verizon Connect sends real-time push alerts to notify dispatchers and supervisors of dangerous driver behavior. As an ELD solution, Verizon Connect provides mobile capabilities via an iOS and Android app for drivers to track performance and productivity through any smartphone. I loved using Verizon Connect once I got the full version of it because I was able to keep track of all the trucks I have in my company.

Pros:

I loved the fact that it has advanced GPS fleet tracking software so you can basically find whoever or whatever business you are looking for while you are travaeling.

Cons:

I wanted to try to use the software just for myself but the company wouldnt allow it because you have to have a unit of 5 or more to use the software.

Verizon connect is overall good software, a HUGE improvement over J.J. Keller software.

Live Map view is a very useful tool, great for monitoring driver locations.

Cons:

The mobile app. The app works but has a lot of issues accurately displaying information to the driver.

Corporate decision, I did not make but related to poor product and Verizon price point was better.

I like that Verizon Connect is so easy for the user and gives accurate, real-time tracking. It also focuses on safety.

Cons:

If you start out with Verizon connect it can feel overwhelming at the start but once you work with it you realize it’s not so complex.

Overall 7 out of 10. Their installers are horrendous, leaving wires dangling, but they are 3rd party and not Verizon direct. The desktop site makes tracking and IFTA easy

Ease of use with the desktop version combined with the app allows us to track assets. It also integrates directly with TruckerTools and TruckBase

The app is sometimes glitchy and does not show all changes made in the desktop. This can lead to confusion

tracker do not work

terrible, have been trying of a month now to get our account rep to call us about problem, so far nothing. dont get tangled up with this company.

only pro might be they do have a good computer cloud base program. easy to see tracking assets when they sometimes check in.

Cons:

we have 14 asset trackers on semi trailers. have been trying to get this to work for 2 years now. But their trackers stop working at about 20% per month. They just dont read anymore. talk with customer service and go thru the trouble shoot procedure and then they send a new one., in which you have a 50% chance of that one working. and they just keep charging you every month if it works or not.

was suppose to be cheaper, but all the time we have put in talking with customer service and replacing trailer asset trackers every month has made this much more expensive.

Verizon Connect ELD, GPS Tracking, Dispatch System.

Verizon Connect is a ok ELD, GPS Tracking, and Dispatch system. The price after your promotional rate is great. But once you are out of your promotional rate the product is over priced for what is offered compared to other platforms. The key is customer service and the tech support is not good, they are not fast to fix or correct issues within there system or products.

The platform is easy to use, user friendly, easy to set up.

Cons:

The customer support, tech support is not the best and they are not in a hurry to fix issues once there is a tech issue or issue within the system. There system has a lag in the GPS tracking system.

Their promotional pricing and free equipment with three months free and the Verizon Wireless discount on our company cell phone service was great.

Do Your Homework Before Signing

The product itself wasn't too bad, but dealing with the support team was a nightmare most times. Our "dedicated" account manager, wasn't so dedicated to our account. I had to go back and forth with issues with them over the course of 5 months.

The layout of the Portal is the most user friendly portal I've ever used. Everything is so accessible and organized.

Cons:

Customer Service. When something goes wrong, they take an eternity to respond, and sometimes, they will close your trouble ticket before they remedy the situation.

easy to use, able to keep up with everyone clocking in and out, the price is very affordable for small company, the fleet part is great, dispatching is easy

Verizon Connect did have a few glitches here and there. They could do better updates so it could perform better.
