About Verizon Connect

Verizon Connect is a cloud-based electronic logging device (ELD) and fleet management platform that provides GPS fleet tracking to help businesses gain a 360 overview of all fleet management operations. High-resolution maps with smart clustering help businesses manage fuel costs, provide accurate ETAs, keep tabs on equipment with asset tracking and oversee a mobile workforce with vehicle tracking.

Verizon Connect includes GPS tracking, high-resolution maps, fuel consumption management, asset tracking, customizable dashboards, performance analytics and more features. With integrated fleet tracking, fleet operators can view all drivers on a map and automatically detect driving behavior such as harsh braking, quick starts, hard morning and additional vehicle misuse.

Verizon Connect sends real-time push alerts to notify dispatchers and supervisors of dangerous driver behavior. As an ELD solution, Verizon Connect provides mobile capabilities via an iOS and Android app for drivers to track performance and productivity through any smartphone.     Overall, Verizon Connect is a powerful tool that delivers real value once you invest the time to understand it. It’s not the simplest system out of the box, but it becomes incredibly useful for improving visibility, accountability, and decision-making across a fleet. While there are areas that could be more user-friendly, the insights and operational control I gain outweigh the frustrations. For anyone serious about fleet management, it’s a solution that earns its place.

    Verizon Connect has given me real peace of mind when it comes to managing vehicles and people in the field. I can see where assets are in real time, track routes, and quickly understand what’s actually happening day to day instead of guessing. The reporting is detailed and makes it easier to hold drivers accountable while also improving efficiency and safety. I appreciate how reliable the GPS tracking is and how much control it gives me over operations without needing constant check-ins.
    Cons:
    The biggest challenge for me has been the learning curve and overall complexity of the platform. There are a lot of features, which is great in theory, but it can feel overwhelming and not always intuitive at first. Some reports take time to customize, and I’ve found that making small changes isn’t always as quick as I’d like. Pricing can also feel high, especially for smaller teams, and customer support responses can be inconsistent depending on the issue.

    I liked the ease of tracking vehicles. The main screen made it super easy to track a vehicle's route.
    Cons:
    Overall, Verizon Connect was more expensive than other companies'. Support became a huge issue as well.

    Overall 7 out of 10. Their installers are horrendous, leaving wires dangling, but they are 3rd party and not Verizon direct. The desktop site makes tracking and IFTA easy

    tracker do not work

    terrible, have been trying of a month now to get our account rep to call us about problem, so far nothing. dont get tangled up with this company.

    only pro might be they do have a good computer cloud base program. easy to see tracking assets when they sometimes check in.
    Cons:
    we have 14 asset trackers on semi trailers. have been trying to get this to work for 2 years now. But their trackers stop working at about 20% per month. They just dont read anymore. talk with customer service and go thru the trouble shoot procedure and then they send a new one., in which you have a 50% chance of that one working. and they just keep charging you every month if it works or not.

    Verizon Connect is a ok ELD, GPS Tracking, and Dispatch system. The price after your promotional rate is great. But once you are out of your promotional rate the product is over priced for what is offered compared to other platforms. The key is customer service and the tech support is not good, they are not fast to fix or correct issues within there system or products.

    Cons:
    The customer support, tech support is not the best and they are not in a hurry to fix issues once there is a tech issue or issue within the system. There system has a lag in the GPS tracking system.

    I loved the fact that it has advanced GPS fleet tracking software so you can basically find whoever or whatever business you are looking for while you are travaeling.
    Cons:
    I wanted to try to use the software just for myself but the company wouldnt allow it because you have to have a unit of 5 or more to use the software.
