Flexible and real time saves us time and money

I deploy crews across the US and this app allows me to get data to crews without them having to stop and download anything saves a great deal of time. Sometimes it works out great to have the crews see someone else's work and sometimes you want a crew to see only the work assigned to them. This app allows that flexibility.

The real-time data access, ease of distribution and updating makes this invaluable to us.

Cons:

I need to be able to manage my users - create logins, manage passwords and cannot.

Reasons for switching to Fulcrum

Needing to switch to modern hardware caused us to look at map based apps and Fulcrum won out.

My Fulcrum Experience

Overall it has been great. We can manage all of our data for the jobs, upload photos and videos. Keep job notes, and add progress to each job.

Pros:

It makes doing estimates much easier. Techs can put in their information on the jobs, and I can go in there to see the notes and it is secure.

Cons:

Waiting on photos to load on the mobile app. When trying to open photos thru the mobile app it is a very slow process.

Fulcrum App for form based data collection

Our customers needed to collect a broad range of spatial located asset data. This data then had to be processed and presented to a government agency to be assessed for funding. Fulcrum allowed the creation of a form tailored to the exact requirements of the government agency. This greatly improved the time to collect the data and get the info submitted for evaluation.

Pros:

The software is easy to setup, deploy and use. Ideal for semi skilled a data collection team. It results in consistent and repeatable data coming in from the field.

Cons:

The total absence of an interface to the GNSS data stream you are using is a big disappointment. An interface to GNSS NMEA data stream and a simple NTRIP interface is all that is required and is typically available on competing products.

Reasons for choosing Fulcrum

Fulcrum is solely focused on form based data collection. The interface is clean and the user has to focus on the form they are using. This makes the software more efficient as a data collecting platform compared to others we looked at.

Quickly export data , easy record, gis application,possibly to apply every data collection to the product

Cons:

I can't print all togheter the records using fulcrum, instead to obtain a quicker printing of all data i have to use excel export and than between "Mail Merge" in WORD i create a my own schedule in a while. i cannot chose how print the first photo, i dont' unsderstand why subtitles not appair in all photos, this troubles i bypass creating my own schedule how i told before. Actually every month i have to retype my bancomat number to pay the bill, then i asked an automatic invoice but i have to ask for it every time

Fulcrum streamlines my work output

Generally its been very good. It also promotes my business (I do tourism signage and infrastructure audits)as a more professional operation.

Pros:

The ease of set up. I still have a lot to learn but a job that would have taken 10 days for two of us to do, one person can do in 5 days.

Cons:

Setting up the app, this is mainly my fault as I really need to spend more time learning how to set them up better.

I liked the customizable priorities and asset reporting fields. Very easy to use once acclimated to the tools.

Cons:

Many asset files were deleted at clients request. Client later asked to reinstate them in the record. Worked closely with support to reinstate them. A shortcut would have been nicer.

I would have to say I give a good review

Overall I enjoy the experience. It allows me to get the job done in a great amount of time. I also appreciate if a problem is detected later I can go back and fix it in a timely matter that makes everyone happy.

The fact that if I make a mistake I can fix it myself I don’t have to send a email and wait for someone else to fix it.

Cons:

That sometimes it will have the page 2 or 3 times when you scroll down to put your information I have to delete a few times and then start over again.

Pros:

Absolute ease of all functionalities. Perfectly adapted to the job. All the datas that were inputed are of critical use for our mission.

Cons:

Sometimes the accuracy on the map was a bit off. In certain cases, searching with a margin error of about 25' of a radius from a drop point took more time than it should have. But overall it was fine.
