Azalea provides cloud-based electronic health records (EHR), practice management (PM), revenue cycle management (RCM) and telehealth solutions for ambulatory and hospital care settings. Azalea is suitable for community and rural health care settings, including multiple specialty practices.

Azalea Health is a cloud-based EHR and practice management platform built to meet the needs of ambulatory clinics, rural health centers, and small hospitals. The platform combines clinical charting, telehealth, billing, scheduling, and patient engagement in one fully integrated system—eliminating the need for separate vendors or costly add-ons.

Azalea includes AI-powered tools like Clinical Assistant for ambient charting and Billing Assistant, which helps reduce denials and accelerate reimbursement. A native clearinghouse is included, and practices can connect easily to labs, imaging centers, and HIEs through SMART/FHIR APIs. The telehealth solution—trusted by providers since 2012—is fully embedded in the clinical workflow for real-time documentation and billing.

It is been a positive one so far. It has been a few years, every since soapware shut down. It has a lot more features.

I like that is continues to offer more features & clinical teaching online. I the quizzes to help me.

Cons:

I feel it keeps going up in price & it was supposed to be more of a budget option for small clinics.

Positive. Support staff are great with helping to resolve issues or coming up with work arounds that will make do.

The ease of use for the most part. Also, like several of the features used for scheduling. There are some aspects that could use an easy fix to resolve annoying little issues, but those aren't priority for Azalea at this time.

Cons:

Slow to implement updates that were to be done in 2024. Several new clients requested appointment reasons to be visible instead of having to hover over the appointment slot to see detail. I was told engineering would work on this for 2024. Haven't seen anything yet.

Reasons for switching to Azalea Health

Azalea bought out PDS and made the transition, cost-wise, better than going to a new vendor.

Intergration went smoothly. Training was made easy and completed in a week

Transition of charts from GreenWay to Azaela is a mess and hard to locate information

DO NOT USE AZALEA

Beyond terrible! DO NOT SIGN UP.... there is no trial which is a RED FLAG. We only want out of our contract and were willing to cover the rest of the year... i will continue to share my experience until they do what is right.

Absolutely nothing. There is a reason they want you to sign up for 5 years without a trial.

Cons:

Their customer service was terrible and they locked us into a contract for 5 YEARS.... promised services that were not actually able to be integrated..

Azalea has been a huge asset to our practice. Occasionally we are approached by other companies but they can't offer anything that Azalea doesn't already have.

Pros:

I like that Azalea Health is quick to respond to issues or enhancement requests and that they have an excellent RCM team. The software is easy to navigate and works well for our Pediatrics office.

Cons:

The plug in for prescribing has some repetitive clicks. I also widh it would pull in basic infofrom the patients profile, like weight.

Reasons for choosing Azalea Health

Azalea was a smaller company and we felt we'd get more personalized service, and we were right.

Success was cumbersome and not easy to bill from, plus it was sunsetting and the other products offered by the company seemed to also be antiquated.

EHR that Actually Has Functions for Multiple Areas of Healthcare

We don't use the RCM, but the ability of Azalea to do different things from order sets, to eMARs, to simple visit notes is helpful and allows for a more seamless process in the workplace.

Pros:

Unlike most EHRs, this one has features that come in use across the different healthcare areas. Built for hospital systems with satellite offices, it has ambulatory options and inpatient hospital options, which integrate demographic information between both options.

Cons:

It costs a bit more than other software, but it's beyond worth it. There are a few things that I'm sure they will continue to upgrade in the future, like information flow between hospital and ambulatory systems.

We needed a EHR that has more functionality. KIPU is built for addiction centers, but really doesn't cover the different models of addiction medicine.

Office manager and RN

Software purchased by Azalea and then forced to move to Azalea program. Would not set up new templates. Very clumsy notes. Not near as professional in appearance. Not helpful with adapting. Not good for small practices or specialist. Told we we retiring and would only need 2 year contract. Our error, we signed a 5 years contract with auto renewal. I find them dishonest. Now locked into paying for a program we can not use.

Effective sales team. MIPS included in pricing of program, though that helpful.

Cons:

Were not honest when we purchased. Was told no auto renewal with contract. Not true. Told could retire and could end contract. that correct, but with 90 days notice. told could have lower fee when practice slowed down. not true.

All in one tool to manage your medical needs

My overall experience with using Azalea Health is good and I am comfortable with providing my private information here to get access to my medical needs.

Pros:

I can easily access my health records and the results of the laboratory tests. I can save my information and book appointments quickly without any hassle. I can request prescription to be delivered from a specific pharmacy straight to my home without going out. This is critically important when I am sick.

Cons:

In person appointments are hard to book as often there is very less availability of the medical practitioners.
