About bswift

Bswift is a cloud-based solution for employers, brokers and exchanges, that offers an open enrollment portal, reporting, billing, COBRA administration, compliance and more.

The bswift exchange platform features include reporting, alerts, dashboard access, billing and web services. It also includes tools to handle initial enrollments, on-going administration and renewal process.Through the Springboard Marketplace, bswift offers a consumer-style benefit shopping portal that employees can use to gather information and select the benefits that work best for them. An AI interactive decision support tool called Ask Emma helps the customers to solve their queries.

Integration with any current systems, internally or externally, is made possible through existing electronic data interchange (EDI) channels with carriers, third-party administrators (TPAs) and payroll or human resources (HR) systems. Users can also use the proprietary EDI feed builder to create a link of their own.

Swift Benefits with bswift

I enjoy bswift as an employee more than anything else. It makes benefits enrollment so much easier that I can't believe it isn't this easier everywhere else.

Ughhhh lost time

Very frustrating voice recording to listen to. Up to 3.5 mins of say this, enter this, confirm what you entered, now enter this, confirm, now enter this, confirm, then state your name, then when agent responds she again validates your name and info. Ughhhh

Cons:

I am now on the 3rd case and 8 calls to try and get resolution on my cobra application. A lot of wasted time! In all fairness it seems the company that was providing my covg was very tardy on these matters. However 3 case #s and 8 calls is a lot of wasted time, to finally resolve an issue!

The most impactful feature if the benefit admin feature. The employee enrollment and EDI feed between providers.

Cons:

The products has been implemented for a couple of years. The only feature I think would be a great addition , is managing Cobra.

I have placed bswift with many clients - especially those in the healthcare industry. The software has streamlined benefit enrollment, ongoing changes, new hires and ACA.

Configurability - able to accommodate complex benefit and contribution structures. You can also apply wellness credits.

Cons:

Ask Emma - I am not a big fan of the avatar. Perhaps at somepoint Emma will transition to a more AI experience.

Pros:

I've used the system at 2 organizations now and it's a clean-looking, easy-to-navigate system. I appreciate that it organizes ACCURATE benefits information including all the plan summaries, costs, and even invoices from providers. You can literally audit it all right there for accuracy.

Cons:

At one organization where I consulted, there was a separate log-in for this system, separate payroll, and others. It gets ridiculously time consuming to be moving between systems all day long. In the other organization where I consulted, the log-in was built into the existing HRIS/Payroll system (PayCor), so it saved a step.

Overall we are really please. Our customers love that we can offer them such a great tool at a low price.

We have switched to this program a few years back. It handles all elections very well. Our customers love the customization and the ability to report.

Cons:

We are unable to pull in our time and payroll deductions to this platform. This has stopped us from being able to do things with the EDI feeds.

The EDI feeds are great. They really take tasks away from the employer and broker. The reporting functionalities are also nice

Cons:

Too large for smaller sized groups. Even for our 75 Employee groups, sometimes the breadth of the software was overwhelming.

Pros:

I used this software for many years as an employee myself and did not find it easy to maneuver.

Cons:

Your software does not recognize my husband's SSN and date of birth to allow him to reset his password. We're trying to do benefit enrollment from home and your customer service hours are terrible. Employees don't have time to do enrollment at work but by the time he's home, your department is closed.
