    Very user friendly free option for those who need basic PTO tracking

    We were able to move from a non-user friendly spreadsheet with a risk of errors, to a much more user-friendly, clearer, more efficient and less time consuming tracking system for both employees and the admin.

    Much easier to navigate and utilize than other options I tested. The free version has a good amount of functionality.
    Cons:
    The ability to route requests to line managers in the free option would be great, but I understand why this is a paid add-on. This is the only thing missing for our organization. We currently manage that offline and then the admin enters the PTO for record keeping/tracking balances.

    Much easier to navigate than other products and the free version had more functionality than other free options.

    Very easy to use, able to have different supervisors approve/track/deny. Love the app and website options
    Cons:
    Slightly confusing with our PTO tracking but we have a unique accumulation system, the sick time tracking is spot on.

    It's very cost effective and has a nice interface.
    Cons:
    This is very important. We need to be able to import COUNTRY based Holiday plans that do not affect other Country employees. Example: US employees have different holidays than our Philipines team. Would be great to have seperated COUNTRY assignment with Holidays we can import and add/remove.One the EMPLOYEE OVERVIEW screen it shows 19/24 in the DAYS column and thats confusing when you have Beareve,ent and PTO. You combine total days and Berevement is ONLY allowed for a death of immediate family. Maybe customize columns that are viewable.

    Best Bang for Buck!

    We needed need a fast, easy, and inexpensive way to track employee time off. We moved from using Google Sheets to Day-off and it has been amazing. Since onboarding with them, they have rolled out new features that we requested like Block Out Dates and customizing emails. I love that it integrates with Google Calendar and that they are working on an API.

    We love the easy-to-use mobile app for employees submitting time off.
    Cons:
    We use the Google Calendar integration and I wish that the "reason" for time off transferred from Day Off to the Notes on a Google Calendar event.

    Incredible Vacation Tracking App

    Overall, this is an amazingly well thought out tool that helps our HR department and our employees stay on the same page with PTO requests and approvals. This is a feature rich program with low costs and great benefits. The dashboard helps to track both time used and time remaining, while the approval process is streamlined and easy for everyone to use. Being full customizable is a huge benefit to tweak it to our needs and the mobile capabilities allow us to remain connected and on the same page when it comes to PTO.

    There are a lot of pros to mention about this app. First, it is affordable. The benefits greatly outweigh the costs with this. Second, it is packed with awesome features like customizations and various helpful reports. With the mobile app, everyone can stay connected and up to date with requests and approvals so there are no issues later on.
    Cons:
    Honestly, there are no cons when it comes to this software/app. Our staff in all areas love the simplicity of the process since we have implimented this.

    Day-off gets straight to the point, it's a time tracker, no nonsense. Don't waste your time with other apps, I've already done it and it's rough out there and while some others may be crazy expensive and highly designed think about what you really need. If you don't need all of the onboarding features of other apps why waste your time and money.
    Cons:
    It's difficult to set up leave and sick time plans. It's not always intuitive and we need two variations; hourly and daily. It's a bit more complicated but still easier than just using email and a spreadsheet.

    Day Off is Office User Friendly!

    Implementing Day Off has given back a lot of time to the admins (as they used to keep an excel spreadsheet on each employee), as well as creating a more efficient way for the team managers to see and approve time off.

    From integration to day-to-day use, Day Off has been a breeze. Having the app is a great addition (vs only having an online portal) and all employees were responsive on using this for our PTO requests/tracking. On the management side, approving requests is easy and efficient. It's very easy to setup, including onboarding of a new employee or offboarding of a termed employee. I also appreciate that it is a month-to-month service, as our # of employees fluctuates a lot.
    Cons:
    My biggest complaint of Day Off is the inability to request a segment of days (i.e. requesting 5 days vacation) when we use the 'hourly' option. Currently, we have to input each day we are requesting. We need to do the hourly request option (vs day) because we have a lot of flex employees that will take 1 - 3 hours any given day for appointments or personal time. So for a 5 day vacation, they have to enter each day separately as an 8 hour day (8:30am - 4:30pm x 5 days).

    The app has been really useful for our team! Before Day-off, we had to email an admin, then put our PTO on a shared calendar. Now, our PTO request, approval, and tracking is much easier & better.

    Day-off is an incredibly easy to use software that keeps everyone in-the-loop about when their teammates will be out of the office. It has a great user interface, so we have very few questions when employees want to submit time off. Also, the free offering is very robust!
    Cons:
    The 1 admin limitation is not ideal. We have a couple different people who manage PTO requests, so this is a bit of a pain. It would also be great if they added functionality to support multi approvals.
