Pros:

I have been in post as CPO for 11 months now, and I have been pleased with the service provided by Oyster, especially our Customer Success and Account Managers. Oyster are always on hand to provide advice, guidance and support, and this often extends to matters that might impact our own employees; they are a true partner. The platform is easy to navigate and integrates with our HR systems seamlessly.

Cons:

Whilst the country spread is good, there are some relationships that are tripartite i.e. Oyster use another provider in that country to hire the individual, which can delay comms. From a commerciality perspective, there are some circumstances whereby termination is justified, however, we have to factor in that the business case isn't justifiable as the individual is employed by Oyster, as opposed to ourselves. This means that mutual terminations are generally the only option to proceed with ending a relationship and there is additional cost.

I have worked in HR for years, and always rely on feedback from other industry professionals in terms of providers; Oyster was widely recommended.

A service orientated platform

The Oyster team have really stepped up in terms of what I expect out of a partnership and service levels. The platform is easy to use from a UX lens and the UI is clear. Our employees and people leaders have positive feedback overall.

Pros:

The website is very straightforward to use and navigate. The expenses function is particlarly simple and gives transparency on the amounts to be reimbursed very accurately in local currencies.

Cons:

Oyster works through a local third party where I am based and I had a few teething problems but these have now settled down.

Highly recommend Oyster for all remote hiring

We used to hire some remote employees in other countries through our own direct entities, however our experience with Oyster has been so positive that we now only hire remotely through them.

The support, flexibility and communication we receive from the team at Oyster whenever we have any queries or employee changes is exceptional. Their system is easy to use and provides great visibility.

Cons:

There is actually very little I can complain about with Oyster. I've used other EORs in the past that I've had issues is, but Oyster is fantastic.

Happy Customer

Overall I enjoy using oyster. I have never worked for a company where they used a vendor like oyster. It was an adjustment at first but I can clearly see oyster follows the laws and ensures the employee does the same.

It’s easy to navigate and easy to use. It is easy to use for booking time off and tracking accrual balances. It’s also easy to access all documents pertaining to your contracts etc.
