    Seamless and Reliable Employee Self-Service

    My experience has been excellent. Payworks takes the friction out of the "administrative" side of being an employee. I never have to worry about where my payroll information is. It’s a dependable system that stays out of the way and just works when I need it to.

    The employee self-service portal is incredibly intuitive. I love being able to access my pay stubs and tax documents (like T4s) instantly without having to contact HR. It feels very secure and reliable.
    Cons:
    There isn't much to complain about from an employee standpoint. If I had to pick something, the user interface feels a bit "functional" and traditional rather than modern and flashy, but since it works perfectly and is easy to navigate, it’s a very minor trade-off.

    When we first started using Payworks, I didn't know very many other companies that were using it but at a recent industry meeting, I was surprised to find out how many HR departments had switched and now I feel like I have found a community.

    It is user-friendly for both employer and employee. They are consistently improving functions and adding features.
    Cons:
    The reporting functions are cumbersome and not easy to determine how to set parameters. This usually results in a few false results before you are able to access the information you need.

    Reasons for switching to Payworks

    Decision was made just after I was hired but pitch was done by previous Manager so unable to provide details but discount through CFIB was a factor.

    Its a work in process.

    The first year was pretty awful. The 2nd year i was assigned a new account manager, and she has helped me a lot. We found all the issues we had in the 1st year and have been making the corrections together.

    I like the time off schedular, as well as the paygrid for manually entering Payroll. I also appreciate the self serve portal for the employees to use.
    Cons:
    I found that my initial set up was lacking support. I was assigned a specialist, but i do not feel the communication i received or the set up was done as i would have liked. I now look back at all the data i had originally sent in, but in the end i still had so much manual additions, wwhich i honestly did not know how to do it properly.

    The [sensitive content hidden] of the company had though hiring a payroll company would resolve a lot of payrol issues we had. I do not think he understood that Payworks does not do your payroll they only provide a software and support. All the payroll work is still done by the payroll administrator

    I used to used paymate and I really found it tedious and left open for human error. I really like that Payworks is so much easier to use.

    It is easy to use and everything is all in one place. I open one website and can find everything! I can process payroll offsite so the web base is perfect.
    Cons:
    There are a couple of enhancements I would like and the improvments included them! Sometimes it is a bit difficult to find the topic I need but I email my rep and they are super responsive to help.

    Customer service is the best I've ever encountered in a payroll provider. Email and/or phone inquiries are always responded to promptly.
    Cons:
    It would be better if YTD adjustments to accruals were immediate rather than waiting for the processing of a paycycle We use front loaded accruals due to the nature of our business and there can be many adjustments at the start of each fiscal year.

    The above options does not seem applicable to this survey. Deluxe was no longer providing services in Canada, and Payworks was the recommended provider to take over our payroll.

    Payworks saves us time and money

    Good initial onboarding. I particularly like the time off request function, although I would like it to show on the timesheet that there is a TOR pending, not just show up when it is approved.

    Customer support - We would like to have a better information center that managers and staff can find instructions for tasks instead of the Administrators being the ones needed to help them.

    Cons:
    There are some things I wanted from a report standpoint and the system can't do it. It doesn't integrate to some of our software programs.

    Great option for small business.

    Far exceeded expectations. But to be honest I came from a provider that was absolutely horrible and difficult to deal with so I did not expect a lot. It was a great surprise to see how good this company is.

    It's easy to use, I have had great customer service, the ease of setting it up at the start was simple and all at a reasonable cost.
    Cons:
    I really haven't found anything I don't like. The closest might be that I am not a payroll specialist and some times terminology can get me but usually I can figure it out.

    Because ADP was awful and customer service was horrible. then the nail in the coffin was when they made huge mistakes with holiday pay in tens of thousands of dollars when we have only eleven employees, including a part-timer that took her holiday pay and ADP showed we owed her $5000 when she had not earned that much in two years.

    We’ve had a great experience with Payworks. It’s easy to use, reliable, and makes payroll simple. Anytime we’ve needed help, their support team has been quick and helpful. Highly recommend.
    Cons:
    At the beginning, I found it a bit difficult to navigate the sidebar and figure out where everything was. It’s gotten easier over time, but sometimes it still takes me a little longer than I’d like to find what I’m looking for.
