About Palmtech Home Inspection Software

Palm-Tech home inspection software is a cloud-based solution designed to assist small to large property inspection agencies with the creation of custom inspection reports. Key features include form designing, signature capture, cost estimation, user groups and permissions management.

The application helps inspectors create customizable checklist templates by adding logos and editing categories, ratings and sections. Controllers can collect information, prepare reports in PDF formats and send email notifications to clients. Additionally, the solution allows users to upload images and import them to respective reports or cover pages.

Palm-Tech home inspection software comes with a tool, which enables users to view items due for inspections and add reviews after completion of the process. Easy to use, like copy and paste, ease of dragging photos and add remarks Having a summary option makes the client and real estate brokers so impressed.

Cons:

None really , the software is so comprehensive and keep updating regularly. However , I was more comfortable with version 8 than 9.

Waste of time for New Zealand news

Disappointed with the software contacted pALM-TECH and emailed them a few times and was told that this date for that cannot be changed. I have had feedback from clients asking for me to change the date due to this is the wrong format which I cannot do on the report is this is in a format relating to USA. I have been using PALM-TECH nine for over 6 to 8 years and can’t believe that the new software cannot be adaptable

This software is no good for NewZealand inspectors due to the date format and this can not be changed on the report template

Cons:

No to much to say really, just disappointed that the software isn’t user-friendly and that can be changed does not seem to want to have much to do about it so my opinion, the software is not at this stage able to be used in New Zealand

Change is not always easy, but that doesn't mean it is bad. There are so many different devices people use now and moving away from software that is installed on local devices has made the program available on any device with a browser. It also has taken away the issues we have seen with Windows updates that sometimes can break the software. We have been able to add so many new features that have been requested by many inspectors over the years and partnering with ISN has allowed us to improve the software and offer new capabilities and resources. Our priority will always be to provide the best report-writing software and to help inspectors grow their business. We strive to give the best customer service possible. Palmtech value for money is great

Palmtech software support is excellent! I have had great conversations with different tech support personnel and always had my issues resolved. Some issues were resolved immediately.

Pros:

I love the ability to tailor make home inspection templates. I have realtors who want the wording done in a way that is legal but also in such a way that it doesn't scare clients off. That way my reports are custom to each client.

Cons:

The learning curve for me at first was a little difficult. But with a little help from tech support the reporting became much easier.

Its easy to use. All in one package i get my report writing software, payment processing, agreements sined and so much more.

Cons:

That i can only load 100 photos at a time. I take close to 400 photos at each inspection. Myou photos in the gallery would be nice.

Palmtech 20 year user

First 10 years or so was phenomenal. New apps are glitching and can be problematic. Tech support tries but it is very slow process and majority of time you have to leave a message you cannot talk to someone. Overall palmtech was and has the potential to be a very good software choice

Simplicity, small learning curve. Doesnt have all the unnecessary bells, whistles and fluff. No training video needed for agents and clients.

Cons:

Tech support is nowhere near what it was when [sensitive content hidden] was still in charge. Support is very slow at getting issues resolved .

Moving forward

My clients and realtors absolutely love the the visual on the report. They are so impressed with the interactive build list button and the overall layout of the report. Also, Palmtech IT support staff addresses and answers my questions and concerns quickly and professionally

Cons:

I would have to say that when updates are pushed and features that I like to use disappear. An example would be the magnification box that was available on the photo edit being removed. I was disappointed when my palmtech 8 was no longer supported, but palmtech complete has many benefits not available on pervious versions

I like how fluid it was with your agreement, invoicing and report. Upgraded mobile app works much better than Palm tech 9.

Cons:

The ability to add components like the chimney in the roofing category. Seems to be difficult. I have to add every line. Unlike the present add button from Palm tech 9. Slows down my inspection. Many times it come up on the houses with extra appliances, Chimney, hot water, tanks, etc.

Untrustworthy Company

I purchased my original Palm-Tech software in 2014 and upgraded to Version 9 around 2021/22. What I didn't know about at the time was the purchase of Palm Tech by the Porch Group. That is when Palm-Tech went from a good company, with a solid easy to use product and outstanding client support, to a miserable, profits are everything, users beware company. They use all of "in" company words and phrases, "we understand your frustration", "we share your concern", "we apologize for the inconvenience", but to this company, these are all just meaningless words. In one Palm Tech response to a user review, they actually compared themselves and their new pay each month policy to Microsoft and the way they upgrade to a new version of Windows. While Microsoft eventually drops their support of say Windows 7, it is still a fully functional product. This IS NOT an apples-to-apples comparison, because Microsoft leaves its users with a FULLY functional software, Palm Tech does not! Palm Tech has left its users with a crippled product that functionally, is not remotely like the software product we purchased. Now, you call their support team about this issue, and you get a different reason for the problem each time you contact them. Or they simply state that they are not going to fix the problem, but you can use their new software and pay $50 per month forever and that will probably increase in the future. Save your money and secure your inspection software with a rupturable company and be aware, that ISN is also owned by the porch Group and is a sister company to Palm Tech.

This software is easy to use and creates professional looking reports. It's solid software with a local office to back it up.

Cons:

It is a little dated in terms of look and feel. The software is also a little word heavy. Tech support may not be as instantaneous as some other software companies.
