    Best solution for RMM!

Does exactly what it promises. Action1 makes patch management and software deployment simple and effortless. You cant beat 'free' for under 200 devices. Super simple to get going and configure.
    Cons:
Its free. Sounds silly, but there are times you need support which isnt included in the free licence. I would be willing to pay money to have support when needed.

    Reasons for choosing Action1

Action1 is amazing at what it does. Ease of use.

    Pros:
Super easy to setup and deploy. Did it in a few hours. It is free for up to 200 endpoints and extended to 400 for vulnerability for a limited time. I love the automations and actions very easy to get our systems much more patched and up to date
    Cons:
Nothing so far, if I had to say anything I would just say that you have to go in and clean up the automations and give them unique names or else you end up with a bit of a graveyard for things you only run one time.

    Reasons for switching to Action1

Cost, bugs, poor support. The price for lansweeper nearly quadrupled over the last 4-6 years and new features are paywalled under an even higher tier.

    Action1 Patching Software - AMAZING

    5

Fantastic. I have had no pressure from Sales/Marketing staff from Action1trying to hard-sell other licensing or products. They have touched base to make sure I am happy with the product (which I am). The product is so good I actually feel bad that I am using it for free as I have less than 200 endpoints to manage. Amazing product and works well with Intune.

    Pros:
Pricing for less than 200 endpoints is free. The software is easy to install and manage. The admin interface is intuitive and easy to use. Has further features such as scripting, reporting and alerts. I have had NO issues using Action1 and is an amazing tool.
    Cons:
If I had to be picky documentation could be a little better for the other features of Action1. However, the main feature of Action1 is Patching, and it does this amazingly well.

    Reasons for choosing Action1

Action1 was cheaper and worked perfectly for what I needed it for.

    Reasons for switching to Action1

We tool advantage of Intune once we moved to a premium license, however the patching/updates side of things was very slow to push out to clients. Action1 was perfect to add as it was extremely well priced (Free!)

    Patch Management that honestly works

    5

Overall... Man this has changed my work life. Patch management was always had a "fog of war" to it. Never knew if it was working and always saw signs of it not working... Reporting was horrendous on most products. Action1 has been a complete 180 from the others and I feel like I can honestly depend on my patch management for the first time in ever.

    Pros:
It honestly works. I've used so many systems in the past (Syncro, DattoRMM, ConnectWise Automate, NinjaRMM/One, PDQ Deploy, Intune) and it beats all of them out of the water. I can depend on AND see it perform updates when they're supposed to. It's absolutely amazing how well their system works. [To be fully transparent, I use this product for free (at the time of review, your first 200 devices are free) and may receive a small monetary gift for this review. However, my opinions are entirely my own and were not influenced by the pricing or the gift.]
    Cons:
Not enough built-in software packages and does not track update history per-device. Also, not able to easily report on vulnerabilities (e.g., being able to report on # of vulnerabilities per software or software+version)

    Reasons for choosing Action1

Action1 is fast. It's accurate. It reports extremely well. Action1 just works.

    Reasons for switching to Action1

SyncroMSP. Well, we have an MSP that uses Syncro (they're a backup for me as I'm the sole in-house IT). I never had full access to manage the updates with Syncro due to the software limitations. I have used it in the past tho. Like others, it's hard to know if it truely is working. You can go computer by computer to see what updates have applied but it feels like it's always out of date, doesn't have an actual list of available updates, and the process to approve and install them is janky.

Plug and Play Greatness For a Growing SMB

    5

Being in a fairly small company (apprx: 150 endpoints) that had no patch management solution in place prior to this, I'd say that getting Action1 implemented was the easiest project I've had since I started here a year ago. The Remote Assistance tool is just plug and play, no setup to speak of at all. I have to admit, I feel a little guilty that we are getting all of this for free. I'm looking forward to breaking the 200 endpoint barrier in teh next year and subscribing to a tool that is 100% worth the investment.

    Pros:
Action1 quickly became our single pan of glass for patching, software deployment and remote assistance. The platform has been very stable and responsive. For remote assistance we previously used AnyDesk and their implementation of UAC control was a nightmare. It's a non-issue with Action1.
    Cons:
Occasionally the dashboard counts and statistics lag behind by a few minutes, but that's most likely some I see because I spend a lot of time using the portal each day.

    Reasons for choosing Action1

Price, Business Model/Culture. Ease of deployment. Simplicity of the portal interface.

    Reasons for switching to Action1

Remote Access was basically a bonus for us. We came looking of patch & vulnerability management plus application deployment.

Overall, the product works well and allows for easy remote support and maintenance of PCs and MACs. Pros:
Patch Management in Action1 is easy and comprehensive. Remote control is a nice added bonus. Further the 200 clients are perfect for corporate trials or supporting family and friends. Every quarter, Action1 seems to release new features. Many of the features we were looking for have been added in just the 4-5 months we have been using the product.
    Cons:
The "entity" breakdowns in the console are nice; however, it currently does not allow for enterprise wide actions. This is a feature they are working on, but for now actions must be performed per entity.

    Reasons for switching to Action1

Action1 provides better value for money and more features. Additionally, there is no additional charge for features, just an all inclusive price.

    Pros:
Action1 was key in us achieving a patching strategy for our organisation. We found that Action1 was much more effective at patching (both through product-coverage and time to deploy) against our other solutions.
    Cons:
We primarily use Action1 to manage remote-workers on BYOD and there are some features that could be more controllable. For example, the platform shows network connections on the machine in real-time. In BYOD scenarios, it could be good to disable this to respect BYOD users' privacy.

    Reasons for choosing Action1

Action1 feels more responsive and carries out actions more quickly. The system also allows greater insight into the progress of operations.
