Robust assessment record keeping and moderation tools. Clean, modern interface. Industry-leading support.

Cons:

I'd like to see learning resources able to be added to Qualifications or Journeys without needing to make them into assessments. Ideally, the ability to build learning content using the same sort of features as the assessment designer, with native integration with H5P.

Great system with excellent customer support

Great, our customer support person is honest but if something cannot be done he has found inventive work arounds so we can get the functionality we need. If this cannot happen, he is proactive in bringing requests to the development team which are frequently actioned.

The customer support we receive is amazing. The product is intuitive and easy to use, it does exactly what we need and want it too.

Cons:

I would like there to be a way of tracking invoices and payments within the student management system which could be attached to the individual student's record.

Reasons for choosing Cloud Assess

It suited our needs better and their customer support was amazing.

Reasons for switching to Cloud Assess

Canvas is not suitable for registered training organisations. It was terrible to use with poor training and support. It did not do what we needed it to do and we found it impossible to be released from our contract. When we were we could not get our student and assessment record off the system in the format we needed. We have records which are practically useless in and excel spreadsheet format.

The ability for online assessment and learning material to be able to be in one place. To be able to see students progress and keep an eye on where they are at. Being able to release units at certain times. Nearly instant password reset for students.

Cons:

The url, students struggle to remember the website to gain access

Support is amazing with Cloud Assess

Support has been fabulous! Could not have asked for better help, guidance and online support. The team are FANTASTIC!!

Pros:

Simple and easy to use for both assessors and learners. Clean look and feel of the platform keeps things clear. Support to set up the system has been AMAZING!

Cons:

Recent update in the interface has messed with the view assessors have and means all formatting of assessments in the previous version has been lost. To fix each assessment will need to be updated which is a MASSIVE cost for a change that wasn't made by the customer.

My Customer Success Manager [sensitive content hidden] is amazing! He is always extremely helpful, always on hand when I urgently need something fixed and he and the Cloud Assess team are always looking at new and innovative ways to improve the platform, assessment design and student experience. I wouldn't look anywhere else for a student management program like this.

Cons:

Nothing that that don't urgently fix when requested or look at. The new Beta field did take a bit to get used to, but now the changes are so good, I wouldn't go back.

Had a good customer support person straight up and also was recommended by another VET provider who I thought if they could manage the program then so could I

Pros:

Being able to track my students progress is real time. See where they are in the matrix and mark things on the spot for them. Very quick customer service and good prompts and intro help for users.

Cons:

Does not have an immersive reader options. A lot of login issues for students. Issues with auto save not working and progress being lost. Would be great to have the copy and paste function turned off to limit cheating in exams

We were wanting to switch to paperless. Cloud assess allowed us to integrate this whilst also modernising our learners experience

BEST experience

10 gold stars. The team are awesome, we deal with [sensitive content hidden] mainly and he never fails to support the needs of the team. The company is clearly looking to make the system work for all of their clients and constantly wanting feedback to improve. The system is easy to use, and there is always someone available in the chat if you get stuck. Content creation has many different features and there are more to come! It is exciting and we are so pleased to have switched to Cloud Assess. Our learners have loved it also.

The team at Cloud Assess are so helpful. Their support as a new customer has been next to none. They are constantly looking at new features to implement to ensure ease of use, benefits to the learner, and our team. Creating assessments is easy. Learner interface is awesome, the learner can clearly see their journey and what is next for them.

Cons:

The only issue I have come across is how slow activities can get when building if it is too large. This feedback has been given to the team and this is something they are looking at.

Reasons for switching to Cloud Assess

CANVAS no longer met our needs. Cloud Assess had many more features to ensure our learners had the best level of education.

A positive 12 month journey so far!

Overall, our RTO has had a positive experience with Cloud Assess as our LMS for the past 12 months. We are continuing to build and grow our resources using the features and functions that it provides, which in turn is proving to provide a flexible, attractive and exciting resource option for our learners. The support through our Account Manager and the chat function has proved invaluable in our onboarding, and we are eager to see what 2026 brings to the platform!

The chat support is responsive and helpful, making it easy to resolve issues quickly. The platform is accessible across different web browsers and operating systems, which improves the learner experience and reduces technical barriers. The customisation options for activities and assessments allow flexibility to align with different training and compliance requirements. The system supports a range of assessment types, making it suitable for varied learning and workplace contexts.

Cons:

Occasional glitches and bugs in the Beta UI can impact usability and efficiency. Help resources and documentation do not always reflect the latest features or updates, making it harder to self-support. Communication around new features or product changes can be limited or delayed, which affects change management and user readiness. Some features require workarounds that are not always intuitive for new users.

Pros:

I really like how the assessment format is so simple to follow and guide the student along, I also really like the chat support as a new user myself having the team to guide me on the correct steps is really beneficial and saves a lot of time trying to figure it out myself.

Cons:

I didn't like that you can't have a power and assessor profile and you need to have two separate accounts.

Good assessing product. Trainers like it. Good lay out of assessments and unit resources.

Cons:

The feedback pages for feedback could have a more advance editor to add bold typeface and larger font sizing if possible. When students need to submit videos there is a limit. Some mp4s are over size.
