About Forma LMS

Forma LMS is an open-source learning management system designed to help businesses provide corporate training to employees based on company needs and processes. Key features include online courses, video conferencing, certification management, custom reporting, blended courses and user management.

Teams using Forma LMS can generate certificates in PDF format upon completion of courses through customizable graphic templates. Managers can organize courses in multiple categories, catalogs, course paths and create several editions of the same course with separate locations and inscriptions. Users can also sell their courses using built-in eCommerce features.

Forma LMS allows staff members to automatically receive notifications upon course completion, subscriptions and user registrations. Administrators can organize users by groups, organizational charts and roles with special permissions.

Forma LMS offers an API, which enables businesses to integrate the platform with existing systems and configure the solution using plugins and custom scripts.

My experience using Forma LMS in my company

In my business at lot of products gets stream line everyday and knowing those products selling it to our customers is a difficult job in the competition. Forma LMS teaches us the exact quality of those products through short videos, and train our employee to close more sales deals. The LMS is broad informative and easy to use which make our team and me to use it more.

Forma lms has lot to give to our team and employees it helps in training large distributed teams in various parts of the world. It's helps in in every rep that receives accurate and consistent information. It also provides multiple learning formats like videos and SCROM courses very helpful for sales employees in our company.

Cons:

I have been using this for a while and till now I have not encountered with any issues with working Forma LMS.

I couldnt make it work

I tried the free version, and it seems that only with the paid version I was going to be able to do the things I wanted, but no... I couldnt make it work. I tried getting a special server just for Forma.lms but I still couldn't get it to work. I tried to find support and couldn't find it either, so... I just paid for something I couldn't use.

the pricing looked great, also the capability of handling different customers in one place is amazing.

Cons:

I couldnt install it. I rented a different server just for the software because of the different requiremts, but still it didnt worked. I couldnt get any support or help.

Hello Felipe, thank you for your review, yet I think you are making some unfair statements. First of all, the LMS is open source like Moodle and Chamilo and there is no such thing as a free or paid version. The latest version is reserved to association members, but even the previous versions work greatly. We appreciate you decided to become a member. You don't need a special server for Forma more than for Moodle or for a CRM or any enterprise level application: you just need a server that complies with the installation requirements. Forma LMS is the most comprehensive web based platform for making the e learning and authoring activities seamless without any major trouble. Also, its the savior for businesses as it meets the digital needs and requirements of businesses in most effective manner possible. Cheaper alternative to most of its competitors and stands out of the crowd due to its excellent features and utilities. The authoring is collaborative and is fully available and functional on lower bandwidth also. The e content are stored in LMS appropriately and suits to the needs of the learners effectively.

Best open source web based e learning platform and software for strengthened learning for hybrid and remote workforce. The training and orientation of workforce is done effortlessly though Forma as it is one of the best collaborative tool for professionals and businesses presently. Talent management is easy and comprehensive through Forma LMS as it helps in selection of candidates through online assessment evaluation and selection. Online training in post pandemic era has become easiest than ever. Authoring e content is easy and is securely accessible to target learners.

Cons:

No dislikes till date. Keep improving the addition of new features and utilities so that it never become obsolete from the market and stay relevant forever. The premium version should be provided in such a tariff mode so that utilities can be best met in most customizable mode. Rest of the features are superb.

Forma LMS has huge pros and advantages to be chosen above its other alternatives due to its best performing features and great outcome. It is the best due to its continuous upgradation and restructuring to meet the market demand in most desirable manner possible. We are also using the same for deploying online industry based learning followed by certification which is accurate, timebound and seamless activity . No operational lags or slowdowns in the system.

Forma LMS great way to start your online learning tools

Generally, I like it as my students don't have any problem using it and navigating it.

there is no initial cost associate with it, where if you want to use WP or any platform you need to spend more than $200/year. I like the straight forward course creation and adding a registration page and be able to create courses and share materials between the students

Cons:

the difficult process for me was to figure out how to create a course and how they gonna look like for the end-user. I strongly believe Forma LMS needs to create a course to teach how to use the software. Also some of the options you need to integrate with, it would be great if it comes with it.

User-Friendly and Reliable

We have been using this platform for several years to deliver our training courses. It is an excellent tool, simple and user-friendly both for our learners and for us as administrators. I particularly appreciated how easy and intuitive the platform is to use. The advanced reporting capabilities are highly effective, and the customer support is consistently available, responsive, and quick in resolving any questions or issues.

Cons:

At the moment, I cannot think of any particular drawbacks or limitations. So far, our experience has been very positive, and the platform has consistently met our needs without presenting any issues.

Full functionalities and value for money. High level of customisation with full integration with our legacy TMS taht pilotes the most of the features of the LMS

Cons:

Graphical experience for users is a little old For internal expert and trainers backend management is not optimised as UI and not simple.

This software ofcourse is a value for money because this comes with good number of features along with its modern design. It is very useful for internal training for employees and you can get a good reporting system. It's also very easy to use with good user interface. With a proper security data can't be leaked

Cons:

Sometimes it takes time to load. When you open the software then it stucks on loading screen and takes about 20-25 seconds to appear on the screen
