Pencil Spaces is hands-down the most inclusive, intuitive virtual classroom I’ve used. It blends personalisation, accessibility, and innovation seamlessly without any gimmicks or unnecessary complexity. It’s built to empower learners and educators, not just to showcase tech for tech’s sake.

Cons:

Honestly, very little. If anything, I’d love to see deeper integrations with scheduling tools like Calendly, but I think this is in the pipeline.

Love Pencil Spaces!

We've bounced between Zoom, Google Meets and other tutoring tools, but Pencil Spaces is the first platform that actually feels designed for educators and learners alike. The team is very responsive to our needs and super capable of delivering technically. They've even made features for us that don't exist on Zoom yet! The all-in-one setup has made out sessions smoother, and the 24/7 live support team keeps rolling out updates that actually matter.

Truly all-in-one: video, infinite whiteboards, breakout rooms, AI summaries & cloud recording in one tab. One-click access—no downloads—makes it effortless for students of every age and ability to join. Fast, friendly support and flexibility to customize the product for our needs.

Cons:

Would love deeper calendar/scheduling tools like shift management and shift swaps. New users take some time to switch over from Zoom or Google Meets.

Pencil Spaces - Best Online Learning Tool

Overall, what I like most is that Pencil Spaces is very easy to use. It also has a lot of use outside of just my tutoring lessons. I've used it for game nights, group calls, and it's fun to just fiddle around with on my own with all of the different tools and integrations. As somebody who did online school during the pandemic, Pencil Spaces especially resonates with me because I believe that this would have been so useful and effective during that time. It's clear that this is a platform made with students and learning in mind.

Pros:

As both a student and a tutor, what I like most about Pencil Spaces is how well it supports both roles. What stood out most to me was how seamless and intuitive it was. When I use it as a student, everything I need to follow along and understand material quickly is right there, and there isn't any kind of learning curve to it. As a tutor, the platform really shines because of all of the integrations that allow me to share resources, control what my students are seeing, and create different boards that help me pace my lessons and save our progress. Both learning and teaching are much more enjoyable with Pencil Spaces.

Cons:

There isn't very much that I dislike. The one thing that I would maybe ask for would be more customization or personalization for each Space, but it's less of a flaw and more of a wishlist to me. Functionally, Pencil works great.

Zoom is not made for education, more for corporate conference calls.

Why choose any other platform?

I have tried all other tutoring platforms before Pencil Spaces , but found fault in many of them: clunky, not intuitive, poor quality resources, whiteboard as an afterthought...but not with Pencil Spaces. I have found that my working practice has become more fluid, interactive and effective using this platform. Continual updates make the experience more and more enjoyable.

Pencil Spaces is an intuitive marvel crammed with everything I need for my tutoring business: rooms, boards, breakout rooms, easy scrolling, AI companion, distraction alerts, cloud recording, and much more.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing. Any issue I have ever had has been dealt with by the troubleshooting team promptly and effectively!

Much better features all in one place. It was an easy decision.
