Pros:

I like the fact that the tool is so easy to use. To create an automation, I record my actions like clicks and scrolls and I can save them as automations that run in my browser. It also integrates nicely with Google sheets so I can save data to it.

Cons:

When I first started using it, I didn't really like the UI, however it has gotten much better with every update. The dev really listens to his users.

Above-and-beyond care for each and every customer. The product is improving very quickly based on user feedback. They have 1-on-1 Office Hours to help build solutions for you. It's a way for them to learn directly from customers and share details about their Whitelabel subscription option.

Cons:

As a web developer, I expected the learning curve to be minimal, but it was not. Before assisting with building, their support requires you to go through their Bootcamp, which is many hours long with a lot of the screen recording time wasted on being chatty or repetitive. The UI's design is not bad but is not pleasing. The product is iterating so much, they're probably not focusing on the design, but I sure hope it improves in time.

Build Chome Extensions that can be shared or sold, and that automate web based business processes

My team does most of their work across multiple internal and external websites. Their work involves a lot of copying and pasting from various web sources into spreadsheets for reporting and analysis. I have been able to combine work that previously took hours into automation that now takes just a few minutes. This also helps reduce new employee training time and all team member errors since the actions are now automated.

Cheat Layer has an exceptionally easy-to-use (once you understand the features and the workflow.) no-code interface. It enables you to create complex web automations across multiple tabs and then translate your developed process into a Chrome Extension that you can share with others or sell. I am also super excited to start using the AI-driven custom automations and desktop RPA tool that is included in the product. There is a ton of potential for me to reduce the time my team takes on redundant tasks.

Cons:

There is a learning curve. It takes some work to get your mind around how to use the tool. Once you understand the basics and build of few automations of your own by following some of their training videos, you begin to understand how to apply the amazing features to your own automations. I feel like the training could be better organized and help you build upon your skills by showing you how to build more complex automations though examples in a course format. I know that they are working on building out more Youtube training videos, but for me, that would be most helpful.

Cheat Layer is easy to use and sparks the imagination for what can be done. The action tracking tools are great for speeding up tasks as well as dialing in processes. The team is incredibly supportive and passionate about empowering their customer's ideas.

Cons:

Sometimes you accidently exit cheat layer in the middle of developing an automation and have to repeat work. The UX overlay is not always the most intuitive and does some unexpected things.

You can do anything and there is no limitation in all the projects you need. It can scrape data, it can write automaticaly, it can do anything a human can on a website in terms of repetitive tasks.

Cons:

You can't easily select a source of data like google sheet, csv files. If you can, i didn't find where.

at first it was just interesting. over time it has become more useful and I have learned a lot about AI coding. Also the team is dedicated to help the users use it

at first the UI was kind of a mess but they have improved it a lot and it keeps getting better so it is not really a con.

I didnt really switch over as Cheat is different from most things out there. But it is slowly but surely replacing Zapier
