About Google Ads

Google Ads (formerly known as Google AdWords) is an online advertising solution that helps businesses promote products and services on Google Search, YouTube and other websites. It allows organizations to create, add and edit advertisements, set a monthly advertising budget, view optimization scores and apply recommendations based on strategic insights.

It allows advertisers to gain insights into campaign performance statistics, such as lead conversions, impressions, and click-through rates. Administrators can use Google Ads to set up advertising goals to increase sales or sign-ups through websites and receive supplementary calls or website visits to the physical location. Additionally, stakeholders can utilize mobile applications on Android and iOS devices to track advertising campaigns in real-time and review high-impact recommendations, even from remote locations.

It provides Google Ads API, enabling advertisement agencies to manage large Google Ads accounts and campaigns, create bidding strategies and generate custom reports. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via online measures.

Pros:
You can reach innumerable number of internet users. Target based advertising service Affordable Ease of setup Good pay rate for developers The results are measureable and traceable.
Cons:
Might be too technical to hide your Google Ads key in the environment variable if you're integrating Google ads on your website as a developer, therefore exposing the Google Ads ID. Might be more expensive compared to other Ads Services. Google may not approve Adsense on your web app due to many reasons.

Pros:
The best way to get your local business in front our people searching for what they have to offer. SEO can take time so bypassing that with ads get you top of the page for a cost.
Cons:
The pricing has really increased over the Year and also the changes to keyword / keypharse search relevancy. Even phrase match now get you some off topic words. Plus a lot of their AI recommendations don't make sense to a lot of businesses.

Reasons for choosing Google Ads

We use google for local business that are more lead base for searches. For example if you need a lawyer you'll be searching for one.

Use to be good, not anymore. Keyword tool is still decent.

It was great back in the day when you can really control everything manually. When you could pick specific channels, and really spend less to get more. Now they just want you to spend as a spray and pray approach. It can work for some companies, but in reality - you won't know what worked and what didn't. That's how they make their money.

Pros:
The keyword function is still quite useful to help optimize SEO alongside an SEM Rush, but everything else isn't that great anymore. Managing Google Ads use to be quite an easy task for someone who was certified, but now it's essentially meant of agencies who know the ins and outs. That's just an extra step you have to pay for.
Cons:
I dislike how they got a rid of the monthly trending data in the keyword planner. It just says how a keyword has changed in the last 3 months or 12 months now, instead of breaking down the exact month. The platform is just too heavy, and requires too many steps do to what you want. The YouTube side especially, is annoying since you can't target specific channels anymore. Retargeting control for banners is also quite limiting. Your ads can show up in places you really don't want. Yes you can manually say you don't want it on a specific site, but there's more bad sites than good ones. It's not possible to mark everything bad as bad.

Reasons for choosing Google Ads

Google Ads simple have the most exposure at the moment, but the product itself is horrible.

Pros:
I like that you can use performance max to advertise all over Google, websites and YouTube without a lot of work. It is easy to set up and use for my business that targets hunters who need camouflage for turkey hunting, duck hunting, deer hunting and bowhunting.
Cons:
The cost per click is always going up and it is hard to make enough on the return on ad spend these days, unless I can get the customer to order a complete bundle of our leafy suit, hat/mask and gloves.

Reasons for choosing Google Ads

There is a higher search volume and customer base on Google, so it's a better use of time and investment
